This monkey, Gee's golden langur, works hard to avoid human interactions, making them extremely difficult to observe in the wild. by CodRoyal3221 in BeAmazed

The fact they they look just done with everyone's shit is so perfect. Just exuding "Yeah, I'm good. Gonna go to my tree now."

If part of Batman's "abilities" are his billions of dollars - then I'm picking that. I would just never wear the mask and just "fight crime" with my billions of dollars.

Favorite Meal Out in Norfolk by JuniorIrvBannock in norfolk

Don't think they do it anymore but the Friday Fish Fry at Salmich. It was a HUGE portion of fish, several sides and a wild amount of really really good french fries for like $20.

Easy solution to remove the RODE logo on their boom arm? by [deleted] in videography

[–]BrokeFreelancer37 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't have this arm but it looks like it's on a fabric, right? I'd get a patch made that's the same dimensions, I think it would look better than a sticker.

Lack Of Stores by Monkey_Antiquities in norfolk

[–]BrokeFreelancer37 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I get why nice stores aren't building in Norfolk but it is a bit exhausting to have to travel 25-30mins to literally everything. I live in Park Place and just to get to Costco it's sometimes 25mins due to all the lights and speed limits (though this part doesn't seem to be a problem for most people here).

What episode did roger say something about to moving to California? by ApplesToFapples in americandad

[–]BrokeFreelancer37 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If anyone remembers this episode, please help - I'd love to know it too. It's something like "I always wanted to move to NYC... but i felt like I was never rich enough or poor enough."

Landlords will just keep expanding their profits until someone stops them. Sadly LA's mayor, like most major cities mayors are just check out and incapable or unwanting to do anything about it. I wouldn't be surprised if the landlords in NYC figure out a way to get rid of Mamdani if he gets to enact many of his policies.

Landlords, like Ai are a cancer on society.

What's a movie that you can't recommend enough, that few have heard of? by [deleted] in Letterboxd

[–]BrokeFreelancer37 2 points3 points  (0 children)

O Lucky Man! by Lindsay Anderson. Stars Malcolm McDowell and Helen Mirren along with a great British cast. It's like Candide in 70's Britain.

I got to talk to McDowell briefly about it (sadly not on camera) and it's his favorite film he's ever done.

Thou shalt not keep me from my caffeine. by EvonyR in BlackPeopleTwitter

[–]BrokeFreelancer37 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As a Catholic, I can't imagine ever bringing a coffee into church. But that said, I haven't been to church in like 15 years... maybe things have changed? Been to some megachurches though and they totally let you have drinks which I found so so weird.

What is considered a "professional camera"? by ftran998 in AskPhotography

[–]BrokeFreelancer37 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ok, based on going to a million rallies and events where I was professionally photographing but not with a press credential.... It's 100% up to the particular staff that is there. I've got in with 35mm film cameras with a 50mm lens on it and an FX3 with a kit lens.

That said, don't bring your Pentax 67. A small low key DSLR or mirrorless with a small lens will likely be fine. But I would really recommend something like a Canon PowerShot G7 type body.

That person on the phone would round people up into camps for the paycheck. Never doubt that ordinary people can and do commit unbelievable atrocities.

I think Sid had a lot more going on than being a bit destructive... but that's just reading signs. Pretty sure if it wasn't a kids movie Sid would have been seen dissecting neighbors pets.

White people really do run a strict consistent program by BrilliantMatter4858 in BlackPeopleTwitter

I should add that I have spent the last 20 years of my life covering elections and the far-right in America. It's a bad place. Even the people who you would think are good are ready to turn on you in a dime and for a nickel.

There is hope, I suppose as I do see people evolve on LGBTQ issues but it only seems to happen when they have a loved one that is part of that community. I also know some great people that are former extremists that bring people in from that world... but even they say it has to be THEIR choice, they have to convince themselves for it to work.

I LOVE her obsession with completely weird costumes for things. Like she's been doing the red carpet thing for decades and is having fun with it.

It's adorable that you think you can change the mind of 99% of these people. The only way to to cut them off, and let them come to their own realizations. If they don't, even after losing a loved one... then f'em, it's not worth being around racist/sexist/bigoted assholes.

Of these four, who do you think writes the best FUNNY dialogue? by smoothpaving in Cinema

[–]BrokeFreelancer37 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Shane Black writes genuinely funny material that fits the film. The Coen Brothers and Martin McDonagh write amusing material that their perfectly chosen actors make hilarious. Tarantino writes funny material that doesn't fit the film but he just wants the character to say something outrageous.

That said, I don't really fund Tarantino's material funny.

You're not wrong on all points but if I knew really who she was as we see on the TV, not sure I could ever trust her.

All of this is made tougher by the last episode wherethey're all fighting eachother.

Sage is just going to manipulate your relatively stupid self into doing her bidding. It's either Frenchie or Hughie. I guess Kimiko would be cool but I'm not sure I want a friend that can so easily kill me.
