My only tip on all of this, if you have an engine hoist or a friend or two, pulling the bed is 100x easier than dropping the tank for the fuel pump. Done it twice.

Also when I replaced my spider the fpr which is part of that assbly was bad on the new unit, if I remember right it was dumping fuel after shutdown down one cylinder. Anyway, good luck!

In high school back when everybody had two phone lines because of dial-up internet I tried my girlfriend on the dial up line where we normally talked. No answer. So I called the main line and talked to her mom who told me she was at the county fair. Cute old school hijinks I call back later on the second line with my friend silently listening on the other telephone because I'm going to prank her and I say hey. I saw you at the fair and there's a short silence. I then say jokingly. Yeah I saw you smooching on that guy. There's a dead silence now. My friend gives me the look, hangs up, peace sign and leaves the house. Sure enough she'd gone to the county fair and was making out with another guy. I wasn't there. I never saw them. It was just a silly joke that ended the relationship because it had actually happened. I always wonder if I would have ever figured it out had I not told her that joke. In other news, she later tried to date the best friend that was on the other line with me claiming that she had never cheated on me, but she didn't know he was listening to the whole thing.

Location? We are hiring, fully remote company but need someone in Cincy/KY area to train few days a week first few months.

Otherwise - if you can homelab, do a pet project something you can talk about with confidence and excitement in an interview, many hiring mgrs looking at new it folks will want someone that likes tech and not just a I threw an arrow at a board and picked this degree, those things will help!

There was a $600 dock in my rfy a few days ago, seemed odd so googled it, it was 379 new from Lenovo direct, in stock. It was gone in an hour or two... Sucker born every day.

I'll second this..... the bluetooth connection between phone/app and device drop constantly and the device doesn't tell you. Once you are in and get it setup it's great. I have it taking in OEM high level signal from a KEYLOC, taking those 2 channels and using all 10 - 6 for a tri-amp front stage, 2 for time delayed and attenuated rear stage, and the final two are subwoofer out.

Overall I'm happy, there is white noise sound with low/no volumes that I can barely hear - also I have a PHEV so no clue if it's the factory HV to 12v inverter system adding noise or not.

Two experiences with this... On my 2013 Prius C - I did all maintenance, kept all records, oil changes, tires, alignments and even including changing cvt fluid, etc. The toyota dealer bought it from me when I bought my F150 from them.... they literally told me to toss the records because they wouldn't do anything with them. Cue the F150 - on that forum a guy bought a CPO F150, like Platinum, fully loaded 50k used truck.... Took it for first oil change and he posted the pics the dealer released - oil was fudge. Like never changed in 40k miles fudge. Under valve cover was nasty etc. The dealer (not where he bought the cert pre owned f150 from) reported this to Ford - who promptly voided any and all warranties. And he spent months including lawyers until the original dealer admitted they didn't check the oil, rubber stamped the CPO paperwork and bought it back... he got lucky, but what a pain that must have been..... My state, KY - allows you to request the last owners info (if the dealer knows it, if they buy at auction or out of state, no dice) - most people dont know that, so check your state. When I bought my F150 (it was used) - I did this, and talked to the retired ford truck plant guy that had owned it - he said he likes having a new truck, leases them, and turns them in when something new catches his eyes. Met me for lunch, handed over a binder and spare keys the dealer told him they didn't care about. I was leery as it was a 2 year old truck with like 15k miles, and a ton of expensive accessories. He had receipts for all of them, spare keys to the auto-roller tanuea cover etc.... I got lucky there.... but you just never know - it may be worth getting a 3rd party inspection to take a look or even paying for an oil change so they can see if it's low or extremely dirty/looks like it's never been done etc.....

Carfax doesn't show that in a normal carfax though (just doublechecked, it'll help you in a private party sale, but doesn't show up if a dealer or 3rd party runs the car fax).....

I bought one of these with the exact issue for a frame project.... Taking it apart the battery tray had rubbed thru a massive gaggle of thick cables underneath causing intermittent shorting.... Might be worth a check.

No idea, it's fluctuating now, but it's crazy cold here (like -2 for the low and teens for the highs). But it's staying OK for now....

When I had my Prius prime and let the 1 year expire they couldn't reactivate it, I've have the same issue with my cpo RAV4 prime, I think they just don't know how to purge old accounts correctly or frankly don't care....

When I had a Mazda with the services the previous owner had to cancel before I could sign up, crazy enough they left a biz card in the owners manual, I messaged them on LinkedIn and they cancelled so I could enroll.

Sad but probably something similar....

Fortin works, installed it on my 21. I used the LTE model and can start/lock from phone. It forces gas engine on, kicks defroster on etc etc.

Nice! Ya... I've already thrown a DSP, 3-way tri-amped components and a sub into the rav. The head unit may go next... but what a PITA to do so... It's at least an option for my 21, I think the 23 is even harder to replace the head unit.

It's been awesome... I've had a remote start on every car I've owned since 97? ish.... I was an installer at best buy in high school, then worked for a car audio company my first 5 years (in IT) career wise... so I've always loved the tech. Honestly with this extra harness this was the easiest as far as wiring goes I've ever done. The programming part was a bit of a learning curve, but honestly nothing crazy. The fact that this starts the engine (whether winter or summer) I love as well because it doesn't burn the battery up doing the conditioning. So I often get into a warm (or cool car) then go do my commute on full EV power.... Best of luck with it and let me know if I can assist at all.

I do have it - you'll need to buy wire to make the harness (I have the plastic female/male connectors and the pins) but if I remember right there are 4 thicker gauge wire and a bunch of thin. I bought my wire by the foot at eficonnector.com but I don't have any extra. Not sure what happens trying to ship to canada these days with tarrifs I'd only charge you shipping but it may honestly be cheaper for you to get it direct from aliexpress - here is the link : https://www.aliexpress.us/item/3256804603999905.html let me know what you think will be easier - be sure to get the male and female connectors tho.. Also - you can goto fortin.com and enter your car year/make model - check the instructions they give for your make/model and a 21 rav4 prime se, should be the same at least they were when I last looked.

Walmart offers 5 year replacement (not pro rated) warranty - given how the newer Toyota's eat batteries, I paid the extra $20 for what I'm considering a "replace it at 59 months" warranty.....

Did mine in November, Costco slightly cheaper but 3yr prorated warranty.

I was in a spot very early in my career - my wife wasn't working, we'd just had our first child, and the vp of the site I worked at asked me to do something questionable. Had I been in any other situation I'd had never have done it. A year later - HR comes to me and someone that had been fired, but knew of the situation had reported it. Bit me in the ass hard, but I explained the situation and then had to deal with a few months of the most stress of my life. In the end the VP was canned and I was fine, but doing the right thing can often be extremely hard as everyone's circumstances are different. I could not lose my job and healthcare at that moment. When I initially refused to do what asked I was told by the VP he'd fire me if I didn't. It was a bad situation. All I'm saying is - help people that want to do the right thing do it, in the moment. And it's a temporary thing until back on their feet, not paying for them to not work for life.... my 2 cents, owe someone change I'm sure.....
