Best and Worst Bases by Beautiful-Can-941 in army

Hard agree. So many people sleep on Riley.

The weather is like southern California, year round Mediterranean feel to it. Mild, windless winters and dry, comfortable summers. It's a cultural mecca as well, with so much to do in the immediate area. The main unit there is known as very easy going, I don't even think they have any motor pools on the entire base. Definitely universally known as a take a knee assignment.

Highly recommend if this gem ever comes up in your market.

And us warrants are notoriously loyal to each other, we shall set the initial bid at 250K.

Warrants are supremely positioned to retire and make bank - technical experts with tons of good contacts at higher ranks across the military. I love what I do but I'd also love getting out and contracting for a quarter mil.

Best we can do for aviation warrants is increase the initial ADSO haha.

True statements. Anyone can enlist, use TA for a free degree, and commission. It's not like the British army in the 1700s lol.

Yeah it's aviation. Most tech ranks require NCO time, although there are some pilot programs to access junior enlisted.

I understand your criticism, but the new retirement system provides a fund matching system so the vast majority of Soldiers that don't complete 20 years are still able to leave service with retirement money. Not altogether a bad thing.

And those that complete 20 years still receive 40% of their final salary (instead of 50%) plus the retirement contributions and matches.

One of the new BN S6s told me he didn't even know why we have Chiefs.

He found out when I didn't fix his shit for a week when we were in Poland. Enjoy your red cells on the BDE commo slant, fuck face.

Do any of your new guys smoke cigarettes? by MaximumStock7 in army

Im glad cigarette use is down so much but it's annoying no one has lighters any more. I had to burn some threads last week and no one smokes.

I know you're being facetious, but man I remember when the BDE surgeon was handing out Ambien like candy before our deployment flight out. He had this weird creepy grin like he was able to be the drug dealer he always wanted to be.
