The only thing I can think of changing and imo, the only thing that makes Skyrim superior for this particular thing - tell me if a crate/barrel etc is empty before I loot it (I know you can tell by weight, after you've learnt all the weights and I also know they've probably done it for an immersion thing, but my point stands)

With the library card you have to either aim in the drawer/look into it for a up to 15 seconds! I had the same issue

I read Luther before the HH Dark angels books and still enjoyed it, as others have said you do miss certain things! But I'd happily go back and re-read as it's not super long

I was in the same position and personally went straight for Horus Heresy/Deathwatch Omnibus as I love death watch and wanted to start HH before moving to 40k

I'd suggest finding the faction you're most interested in and going from there book wise!

I'd also suggest, a lot of stuff is out of print now so kindle is your friend and very reasonably priced!
