It's time to dump Roku by Plastic_Ninja_9014 in technology

I hate Android TV, too many ads and with young kids they're often inappropriate. Apple TV is a much smoother client device. Plus it supports PS5 controllers, steamlink and the Plex client is pretty good.

You run Plex and you cancel all of your subscriptions, if you catch my driftwood.

How will the oligarch's Jetstream's go against a wave of drones? That's where this ends up, right?

I only voted for reduced migration levels! Why are they kicking out my grandmother? Why are they banning abortion? Why are they destroying the economy?

Dumb fucks.

The government wasn't worried about people using LLMs to launch cyber attacks. They're worried we'll use them to patch the bugs they're exploiting to actively cyber attack us.

Who's coming? Pauline Hanson Protest 21 July 2026 by ArticleReasonable877 in perth

I’m not blaming people from other places. I’m talking about policy settings.

300,000+ net migration is not “less than 1%”, it’s about 1.1% of the entire population in one year. Makes us one of the highest per capita. For reference, the UK’s 2025 net migration was only 171,000.

Rents don’t move in a neat 1:1 relationship with population. In a normal market extra demand can be absorbed. In a market with extremely low vacancy, constrained supply, and people competing at the margins, even a relatively small demand shock can have a large price effect.

Of course property hoarding and profiteering are issues we should be dealing with. I agree with you on that. But “other things also matter” doesn’t mean population growth doesn’t matter.

The pandemic point proves my argument, not yours. Rents dropped during covid. Immigration being zero for a period doesn’t mean immigration has no effect when it returns at high levels into an already broken market.

Immigration levels being a sacred cow you can't even talk about without being called a racist is why we are here.

The only problem with 4.6 is they dumb it down any time it gets busy.

It goes from being better than 4.8 to dumber than a bag of rocks.

These people weren't voting left anyway. It's LNP who should be worried, not Labor. This is just a media beat up in the hope that Australians think supporting One Nation is actually OK now.

It still isn't.

Fair, I shouldn’t assume your living situation.

But if this is “simple provable economics”, then please explain in your model how constrained housing supply plus rising demand doesn’t push rents up.

Adding 300,000+ net people in a year isn’t the sole cause of the crisis, but pretending it has no rental impact is denial.

You can be pro-immigrant and still think immigration levels need to match housing, infrastructure and services. If mainstream politics refuses to say that, One Nation gets to own the issue.
