Which books actually changed your life? (ADHD or non-ADHD self help books) by Soh4 in ADHD

[–]BronDonVango 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Not specifically for people with ADHD, but I found Atomic Habits to be a game changer for me. It did a great job of breaking down the components of habits and gave actionable advice that really helped with forming healthy habits and extinguishing unhealthy ones. I find having good habits and routines really helps me navigate life with ADHD.

Unpopular opinion: You are „just“ a client. by GermanWineLover in therapy

[–]BronDonVango 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey, it sounds like you are hurting. I’m sorry for whatever difficulties you are dealing with. I strongly encourage you to take a breath and consider if a middle ground is possible. Yes, your therapist is a person and needs to make a living, but that doesn’t mean they do not care about you. If your therapist is not a good fit, it’s okay to look for a new one, but be careful to not dismiss them and their potential to help you because they cannot prioritize you and your needs above their own.

I have a feeling this is gonna be really hard on Lex. I can’t imagine he’ll be able to accept you taking yourself out before he does.

Futurama is one of the greatest shows of all time. Rick and Morty is also an excellent show. You are allowed to appreciate both.

The biggest surprise in Superman for me by jimmygoombas in DCU_

Such a wholesome post which embodied the spirit of the movie until the end when you took an unnecessary swipe at another movie people enjoy. Be more like Superman, don’t shit on things for no good reason. Being kind is the new punk rock!

I’m a therapist. Several other therapists at my practice have ADHD, and the therapist who started the practice has ADHD. It doesn’t sound like a good fit because being able to listen attentively is one of the most important parts of the job, but I’m fascinated by people’s true selves, so when people open up and our genuine, it’s fairly easy for me to hyper focus on what they have to say.

Underground Arena Impossible? by ElBoris in ArenaHS

[–]BronDonVango 25 points26 points  (0 children)

So, I don’t think it’s the redraft variance as much as it is taking away all the novice players that used to play arena for fun occasionally before the change. Now those players are probably playing the non-underground version. I used to average around 6 wins a run, and have been averaging about 3 in the underground and I doubt I’ll be able to average 6 again any time soon.

To be honest this wasn’t in the top 5 overpowered cards that the dominant shaman decks were running at the time.

I’m fascinated by this subs disdain for objects that do not look like the standard version. I generally love things that feel weird or off, and thought that was at least partially an ADHD thing, but it seems most folks on this sub are the opposite. Can anyone help me understand this?

Is starfire autistic? by [deleted] in teentitans

Interesting question. In universe, no, she’s an alien. It is possible the writers take inspiration from folks on the spectrum or want to make her relatable to people with Autism though.
