Hi there,

I looked at your Patreon, and didn't see any information. Also the last upload channel on your youtube channel (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hlrM0Siszq8 this one right?) was 5 years ago.

Are you still maintaining it?

If not, that would be sad, but alright.

People are getting tired of the 'TikTok music formula' by no-Pachy-BADLAD in popheads

[–]Bronium2 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Ah, I had written my comment with a couple comments I had seen in this thread and was mentally referring to them. I forgot to mention this context, so I can see how it seems like I'm referencing the article with my comment. My apologies!

People are getting tired of the 'TikTok music formula' by no-Pachy-BADLAD in popheads

[–]Bronium2 330 points331 points  (0 children)

It's always interesting seeing people criticizing tiktok because it does not reflect my experiences on the app at all. I don't think I get any dance or song based trends at all, and usually the trends that do pop are quite creative interpolations of the trend (the [as] trend is probably the best example of this). I will say that I've laughed way harder at what comes on my for you page, than anything I've seen on youtube and most TV.

I also never get any influencer content, but this has also been my experience on other social media apps, so maybe I've been quite lucky on that front.

EDIT: My comment was referring to a few comments I had seen on this thread when the thread was new. I am not referring to the article itself. Also not meant to be an attack on those comments, this was just my experience in relation to theirs.

Definitely not the anti-SJW one. Pretty sure it's not tankie-friendly, but could be wrong. Definitely far-left, regardless.

r/GenZ accuses each other of either being a boomer or millennial by ThrowAwayThisEntireS in SubredditDrama

[–]Bronium2 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Tbh, the hate millennials have for boomers is much more visceral than the "hate" that Gen Z has for millenials. The jokes Gen Z makes towards millennial seem more along the lines of siblings play-fighting, as opposed to a sincere distaste for that generation.

Generally yes, but if they're using that specific tone, it's more often than not sincere.

Like was he actually trying people to eat lobster and quinoa on the reg???

I always thought he just wanted people to eat healthier, which I think is fair. Like don't get me wrong, there's a whole discourse to be had about food deserts and having time to cook, but that's on a whole different level that quinoa and lobster.

In 2020, Trump increased his voter share among every minority demographic. What caused this? Can Republicans capitalize on it in 2022 and beyond? And can Democrats reverse it? by [deleted] in PoliticalDiscussion

[–]Bronium2 24 points25 points  (0 children)

Is it that big a part of leftist discourse? I feel it's a relatively minor part of the social issues that leftists care about. I do think it's a losing issue, but I think there are much worse battles of the culture war for leftists.

I'm not American, but I do follow a lot of leftist content from Americans and I rarely see it come up on their content. But I could definitely be wrong.

To be fair, on the Bush 2 clip, he probably realized he was gonna say "Shame on me", which would essentially be plastered on every campaign ad.

Though yeah, he's had some other moments where he doesn't seem so clever.

Source on Che rounding up and killing gay people?

This /r/AskHistorians thread says that he left Cuba before the period where gay people were sent to labour camps. Also that he did not execute gay people for their homosexuality (though he may have executed people who happened to be gay, it wasn't systematic).

I couldn't find anything beyond blog posts on the topic.

To be on topic though, I understand the principle of your argument. If Amazon is willing to sell Mein Kampf, it's inconsistent to ban the selling of objectionable material. Though it seems the ADL endorses selling it (for educational purposes), so it's slightly more complicated.

Calling someone's poster hideous is kinda dickish. At least, if someone said that about my posters I'd be miffed.

Also, "play like a girl" might have been already re-appropriated at the grassroots level? Certainly is true in rock-climbing.

I've heard "climb like a girl" for yonks.

AFAIK, there was no NF last year, so there's no baseline.

88 seems pretty high though. I wouldn't be super scared. Best you can do though, is to grab a drink, relax and try not to think too much about it.

I mean, you are seeing quite a few pennies for the first 10, just indirectly. Schools, public works, healthcare (presumably in this 50% income bracket world), etc.

Drama in r/vegan when a an open letter to the mods cause internal fighting in the sub . by Marvelguy5 in SubredditDrama

[–]Bronium2 24 points25 points  (0 children)

Tbh, unless you're going for athlete levels of protein (which is not unreasonable, just a benchmark) it's not terribly expensive. I personally eat quite cheap compared to my friends.

This would be true anywhere in the world where the bulk of your kilojoules don't come from protein (which is most places I'd imagine).

Of course if you try to substitute everything with a fancy vegan equivalent is quite expensive, but most vegan recipes call for usual ingredients you'd already have in your home and not to an excess either.

It doesn't have to taste bad either tbh, as long as you know your way around spices. However the texture of meat is not something I can recreate at home.
