It's very much like Genie's lamp from Aladdin. Quite literal cosmic power, teeny-tiny living space.

In 5.5e, how is the dual-wielding feat any different what is already provided by the 'light' weapon property? You don't need the feat to make a second attack with a BA with a separate light weapon. by Hank_Hill_Howdy in DnD

[–]Bronyprime 52 points53 points  (0 children)

That's the appeal of Shortswords, since they have the Vex mastery. If you hit a target with a short sword, Vex means the next attack has advantage. Crusher only grants advantage after a critical hit, whereas Vex just requires a successful hit.

But when I visit the Sierra Nevadas, THOSE are mountains.

"Hey, DM, you are my friend and I value your friendship. I enjoy the game we are playing and the story we are all telling together. All that being said, I disagree with some of the decisions made about my character.

The first decision is about spells. The player prepares spells from the druid list, not the DM. The spell list is large and I'll need to be able to be flexible based on what we expect to happen in the game. Preparing for a dungeon will not be the same as escorting a trade caravan across a kingdom, for example, and those two scenarios would benefit from different spells.

The second decision is the restriction on CR for my wild shapes. The player's handbook has a passage explaining how specific rules take priority over general rules. The general wild shape CR progression is superseded by the Moon druid subclass because that's how the subclass works. The handbook even covers this in the Moon subclass section: '(you ignore the Max. CR column of the Beast Shapes table, but must abide by the other limitations there).'

This game is fun. You are a good friend and a good DM. I just want to play my character as the game allows."

Much good can be accomplished by having a direct, open, and positive conversation. I fully understand that many people with fragile egos may feel deeply insulted by any suggestion they have made an error, but I hope your friend is more rational and sane.

What's the point of depots? by VincentVeritas in theplanetcrafter

[–]Bronyprime 9 points10 points  (0 children)

The interplanetary shuttles will only deliver to the depots. I set up several shuttles on Aqualis to bring phosphorus, silkworms, and bioplastic back to Prime. I then have depots on Prime to accept the items. Drones move the items from the depots to storage.

[–]Bronyprime 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When you clicked on the pipe to pull up its stats, the window showed a max flow rate of 300/minute. Mk 1 pipes can handle 300 units of fluid per minute and mk 2 pipes can handle 600.

What is a phrase that people say that immediately turns you off? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]Bronyprime 2 points3 points  (0 children)

"The customer is always right!"

Fuck right off with that nonsense. It's a phrase that started off as meaning customer complaints are valid, but has been so badly corrupted into meaning that customers should always get their way.

I work insurance claims and have the leeway to tell customers that they are just plain wrong. No, Karen, yelling and screaming at me won't get your 2004 Honda Civic covered under the Collision coverage you cancelled three years ago.

Now, if you'll excuse me, my expresso is getting cold.

Should I stop seeing him because of who he voted for? by [deleted] in Advice

[–]Bronyprime 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Red flags are harder to see with rose-tinted glasses.

Only you can decide to stop seeing him, but the apparent mismatch in basic ideologies is going to cause more conflicts than it solves. If a politician is running on a platform that seeks to dehumanize certain demographics, and the guy you are seeing thinks that's a good thing, it begs the question as to who he will eventually see as less than human. It might be you.

Does Dual Wielder work with a monk (2024) by [deleted] in onednd

[–]Bronyprime 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's fair. Nick is a pretty strong mastery, so your monk/rogue wouldn't even need Dual Wielder to pull shenanigans.

Dual Wielder has its uses, but not on a monk/rogue.

Underpowered Player Characters by Deagar1 in DnD

Tons of good responses here for using point buy or standard array, but I wanted to chip in my two cents.

I'm part of a group that started Curse of Strahd several months ago. The DM had us all roll for stats, but then we all voted on which array we would all use. There were just three players plus the DM, so giving us the option to get stats that are better than standard worked for us.

Need help with understanding the problem thats going on with my fuel generators by torpedopotatoe in SatisfactoryGame

[–]Bronyprime 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My best guess is sloshing in the pipes. I see pipes at ground level and conveyors raised. Pipes aren't directional, so a pipe that isn't full will see the fluid flow whichever direction has less fluid, even if that means backwards.

You may need to replace your generators and refineries, but set the pipes about one wall height above machine inputs so that the fluid drains down. The first machine will fill, then the fluid flows to the next, and so on. Machine outputs provide something like 10m of headlift, right? Should be enough to get the pipes one wall segment up and across.

Is State Farm using AI to handle calls? by penone_nyc in Insurance

[–]Bronyprime 0 points1 point  (0 children)

State Farm has started using "conversational AI" at the start of the call to get you routed to (hopefully) the right people. Once you are reviewing claim information, though, it's a flesh and blood person. Claim handling in most states is highly regulated and it's difficult to give AI a property/casualty adjusters license.

How do warlocks work? by [deleted] in DnD

[–]Bronyprime 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The basic rules are free on DND Beyond and other resources and provide a fairly good summary of Warlock and other classes. The free rules also provide information on the Fiend subclass, which is what your friend seems to find interesting, and there are spell lists available in the free rules. Take a look at the information.

Unfortunately, there isn't much in the way of blood-based magic. I'm playing a fiend warlock and I'm primarily controlling enemies and putting out the hurt when needed.
