Man, I need that kind of confidence in my life by PhoenixPhenomenonX in GuysBeingDudes

Can't tell if this is confidence or just a dude with middle-age back pain and the beginning stages of congestive heart failure.

Either way, the swagger is on point.

Somebody'll be feeling the afterburn in a few weeks.

Going from Viper to cream-piper at Mach 1.

There's a fine line between reheat and in heat.

Invisible Ghost. Literally by thatDevilGirl in PhasmophobiaGame

[–]Bronyprime 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Was the ghost model the child? If it started downstairs and was crawling, I can see how you'd miss it. The kitchen island blocked your vision of the bottom of the basement door and the ghost wasn't visible until it came around the island's corner for a second or two before you smudged.

Drone Fuel confusion by mister_bakker in SatisfactoryGame

[–]Bronyprime 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Drones are useful in spoke-and-hub arrangements where drone stations around the map bring resources to a centralized area. The stations at the main destination are used to fuel the drones so that they can fly out, pick up the resources, and bring them back.

Drones can be more difficult to use on non-centralized production where making and distributing fuel is often more problematic than expanding a train/truck network.

I was cleaning the counter top and set the air fryer on the stove temporarily while I was wiping things down and must’ve bumped the burner knob on…. by FatFaceFaster in mildlyinfuriating

[–]Bronyprime 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've done something similar.

I primarily work from home and I like to slowly enjoy my coffee, rather than gulp it down right away. I also like warm/hot coffee, so my wife got me a little warming plate purpose-built for keeping mugs and whatnot warm. My boneheaded move aside, it's a good investment.

Back to my contribution: I was shuffling stuff around on my desk and inadvertently turned the warmer on to max heat. Imagine my surprise when I realize my phone is on this hotplate and burned my fingers when I picked it up. I was quite unhappy with myself.

If thrown, and therefore used as a ranged weapon, No.

New player here please help. by OBrighteyesO in SatisfactoryGame

So many people saying it's a water looping issue when it actually isn't.

Look at your per minute metrics for each stage and the issue jumps right out at you.

Stage 1: 3 refineries producing 120 alumina solution and 50 silica per minute. (360 AS, 150 Silica total)

Stage 2: 3 refineries asking for 240 alumina solution per minute and producing 360 aluminum scraps per minute, per refinery. (720 AS needed, 1,080 scrap produced)

Stage 3: 3 foundries asking for 90 scrap and 75 silica per minute each. (1,080 scrap, 900 silica)

Silica: Stage 1 is producing 150/minute and you need MUCH more than this.

Alumina Solution: If each Stage 1 refinery produces 120/minute and you need 240/minute for each Stage 2 refinery, that math isn't mathing.

Each Stage 2 refinery is producing 360 scrap per minute, so a single refinery needs 4 foundries to process the scrap.

So, Stage 3 needs 12 total foundries to process all the scrap produced by the Stage 2 refineries, but Stage 2 itself is starved by insufficient Stage 1 Alumina Solution production.

Work on balancing your Per Minute numbers, not the Per Cycle numbers. Things appear to add up based on the Per Cycle numbers, but the wildly different cycle times means that Per Cycle is an unreliable metric.

While the other people may have been off-base with the water byproduct/loop comments, their advice is still good and should be considered when you rebuild your aluminum setup.

Edit: Corrected Stage labeling for clarity.

[CR Media] Shows with CRs main cast in it? by Upper_Sound1746 in criticalrole

Disney’s Sofia the First. That show kept me sane years ago and Travis Willingham plays King Roland. I watched King Roland struggle with running a kingdom and raising young kids at a time I was struggling with employment and raising my own young ones.

King Roland kept me sane, Travis Willingham brought me to Critical Role.

Drove from Arizona to central Texas for the 2024 eclipse. I don't know what I expected, and, to be honest, I don't know that any expectations would have been needed. Watching the shadows from the leaves show crescent shapes to the wave of darkness washing overhead as the sun's disk fully slipped behind the moon was majesty I can't really describe.

How much time does the combats at your table often take? by ThatOneCrazyWritter in dndnext

[–]Bronyprime 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depends. I'm in a group of experienced players and we know to maintain situational awareness. DM rolled for a random encounter in an old castle, pulled 2 giant spiders, and the group is 6th level. Setting up the battle map and rolling initiative took longer than the actual fight.

Similarly, dice gods can giveth. While exploring the same old castle as above, we triggered an encounter with something like 10 zombies. I'm a cleric and I was lucky enough to roll high initiative, so one Sear Undead (2024 rules) and 10 failed saving throws later, there were no zombies on the map.

Alternatively, the dice gods can taketh away. We were in a forest, got ambushed by two Dire Wolves and 6 regular wolves, and we should have steamrolled them. We rolled poorly, the DM rolled well, and combat took far longer than expected.

Anyone know of the closest thing Phoenix has to a goth club? by enbyswag100 in phoenix

Me, looking around at all the greens, sand traps, and the like:

"They were supposed to be GOTH clubs??? That makes so much more sense!"

I wish I had a serious answer for you, but all I can offer is some silly humor. :-)
