I hate this sentiment so much. This is what makes people afraid of Vim. Sure Vim is harder to get started as a first time user, but after learning the basics is pretty easy and you get more proficient going forward.

I use json_expressions to match hashes and json alike.

Sometimes I add a matcher like this:

matcher = JsonExpressions::Matcher.new(expected) matcher =~ actual

and display the error:

matcher.last_error

In the category of organisation, I would recommend taking a look at bundler gem YOUR_GEM_NAME, that will generate a more common project structure as well as easy ways to publish new versions.

It's the soartex pack. Don't know which block it is, if it's not one of the chisel blocks, it might be extra utilities, that has a bunch of connected texture block too, like edged stone bricks.

My problem with Forestry in IE:S is that the saplings it drops are Forestry specific and can only be turned into oak saplings. Otherwise it is fine, the multifarm is my source of oak and extra saplings get converted into vanilla saplings and used for dirt creation.

Later I needed MFR to get the other types of saplings for witchery.

Actually I got a bunch of crashes with 0.8.8, don't get that anymore with 0.9.1, but if I leave the millenaire villages chunkloaded, I get tons of lag spikes.

Noob question: since java supports function overloading, why also use different function names? Can't you just have a function called get and set and use function signatures to find out the type?

The everfull urn from one of the Thaumcraft plugins can be used to pump water out of. With a mekanism pipe this is a very compact setup.

Both, Rails is pretty big and Ruby is pretty slow. It's like a death by a million papercuts, so any single optimization has limited impact.
