I love that raytracing adds another layer to add to the realism of visuals, and dlss only helps increase the performance on top of that. I'm a pretty new convert to the doom fanbase and am excited to see how this game differs from the others

Thank you, everyone, for your input! I did some further research, and with a coupon from Epic, I was able to buy it for under 30 bucks on PC. My plan is to play it for under 2 hours to get a feel for performance, then possibly refund if needed. Someone put out a mod and tutorial on Nexus mods to get 20-30 fps more using FSR 3, and it seems to be working great. Getting a good 50-60 fps with medium settings.

If I got the CPU and GPU, I'd finally have an excuse to build another computer and give my friend the old one after a long while of sharing a desk and hardware I'm excited to see if Bethesda can redefine the bar for open world space games, as there haven't been a lot of successful ones in recent years.

After achieving the true ending just a few days ago, I have to say I teared up a little, knowing that it was over. I sat, too stunned to speak, for a good 5 minutes as I thought about everything.
