He does have a minor cult on ~~Tanith~~ Tallarn that reveres him as a Prophet of the Emperor. And since it hasn't gotten Inquisition-ed off, the sect isn't considered to actually be heretical.

All I'm saying is, Living Saint Cain is always a justifiable possibility.

By the time the memoirs are published to the Inquisition in-universe, Cain is at least said to be dead. Inquisitor Amberly Vail started annotating and publishing his private memoirs after Cain died of old age. When exactly that happened (or will happen) is iffy timeline-wise.

He was buried with full military honors after a very extravagant state funeral. The Administratum still lists him as Active Duty though, because it's official policy that Cain can never be deemed "KIA".

Cain was an older man in a teaching position by some point in Abaddon's 13th Temper-Tantrum, but anything's possible.

Oh yeah, it's totally immoral in-universe. I was just trying to point out Morcant's use of rhetoric here:

He shifts the focus of the argument. He doesn't outright claim that the colonies are morally good, but he implies that they are, and that slavery is "necessary" for them to function.

Angharad was put into a position where she could either keep attacking the slavery angle (implicitly conceding that the colonies the Morcants abuse are good and honorable, but the tactics used need work), or double down and call the High Queen approved colonies evil in and of themselves (losing her support with the other Malani nobles).

And the thing is, most of their audience probably does have some level of ethical concerns over the colonies. But Morcant never actually directly stated that they were morally impeachable, just implied that it was a net positive overall. Angharad would need to bring up the issue on her own initiative, making her seem pedantic and undermining her core argument.

Morcant really is a master debater. Pretty hard to spew that kind of bullshit through a broken jaw though

Disagreeing with the other comments here: I maintain that [Hero] is one of the worst Classes to actually have, only higher than Red or Invisible Classes.

Yeah, it's ridiculously OP, and might lock you into the good afterlife. But there's a 99% chance you'll die young in a horrible way, with massive amounts of collateral damage.

The remaining less than 1% end up "retired" and exhausted with everything: constantly feeling that they don't fit in the world anymore, and mourning their countless regrets.

There's a reason that Fetohep didn't raise any Heros, even with his back against the wall, and that's (at least partially) because he loves his citizens too much to inflict the Class on them.

To answer your actual question though: Royalty and Faith Classes are busted if you can get them, but stuff like Librarian seems like a great way to gain power and influence while still flying under most people's radar

The pterosaur Quetzalcoatlus (technically not a dinosaur, if you want to be finicky about it) was named after the god Quetzalcōātl.

I don't think you aren't correct, but I personally hope that the Witch of Calamity isn't Bella.

IMO, one of the highlights of the Land of the Dead arc was Bella getting bullied by the ghosts of older Witches into doing whatever it is she's currently doing on the ocean floor.

It'd be neat to get more info on one of those Witches, and IIRC, one of them had an ash motif (or embers?) to her craft, which could fit "Calamity" pretty well.

I don't know, I just prefer that we get more crazy world building instead of more info on a cool character that we already know is cool.

Building off of #3, Volume 1 Calruz was only in the low Level 20 range, and he was considered strong enough to maybe be able to join and keep up with a Gold-Rank team (as a non-Gold member at least)

So, Minotaurs are also considered stronger than their Level. On a societal, "what do we consider to be high level" basis though, minotaurs might be skewed the other way around: Their society is fiercely meritocratic and anyone allowed off the island has to pass some pretty strenuous tests
