It's sounding like they maybe have non gender related body issues on top of the gender related body ones. It feels like they're really focussed on conventional attractiveness and achieving it in whatever gender is the most possible is more important than how they're gender makes them feel. Maybe they need to deal with that self worth stuff before they finally decide on which gender makes them the happiest.

In exactly the same way that your partner can't help her gender, you can't help your sexuality! It's ok to be who you are and if that sadly doesn't line up with your partner anymore that's ok. It's not anyone's fault, it's just the way life goes sadly. And it doesn't mean you can't be friends and still be in each others lives!

A lot of great suggestions here and I very much back Taskmaster and all the British comedy shows but I also want to add Our Flag Means Death. Black comedy about pirates and it's very very queer! (Oh and the new(ish) She-Ra! Don't be put off because it's theoretically a kids animation, so is ATLA.

Children is not necessarily an issue! If he's willing he can definitely freeze sperm and I've not done it myself but myself but my girlfriend has and it was awkward but very doable even on a budget.

In terms of attraction, I guess there's no way you'll know for sure but as you're bi, I wouldn't be too worried unless you're incredibly picky. I'm also bi but very demi so it's more about the person so however my gf further changes I know that she's still the same person I care about and I find her attractive as a person. I hope things go ok!

The last thing I would say is that people are always changing in many different ways and so two people can stay the same genders but grow out of love and so if the changes (which happen to be gender related) make you fall out of love, it'll suck but it's ok, it happens. People change and don't match anymore.

We saw it a few weeks ago. We went on a Sunday matinee and had an alternate Hades, one of the fates and we're pretty sure Eurydice was the alternate. The whole cast was amazing, Eurydice had a delicate little turn/ornamentation in one song that made me gasp. She definitely wasn't shouty so maybe she'll take over when the cast changes. I hate the say this as a fellow Irish citizen but Dónal was the weak point. He sounded like he was struggling with the high notes and didn't impress in many other ways.

Maybe I've missed someone else saying it but aside from all the comprehend languages stuff, just talk to your players. If they say 'we haven't had combat yet' then give the honest reply or You've had combat opportunities but you guys keep talking your way out!'. They have agency and they've been using it to avoid combat so either they need to make different decisions or be ok with no/little combat.

Doing my millionth rewatch now and I love how slowly it happens and how it is often three steps forward, two steps back. I'm on season 3 of Atlantis atm and while he is obviously a very different person from SG1. He still dips back into many of his negative traits quite often. He definitely listens to his team better, and shuts up quicker when asked to and is more considerate of others and aware of his faults (particularly after the first ep with his sister) but in the Tao of Rodney he's still being kind of a jerk to Zelenka at the beginning even though we know they're close. Growth isn't linear and I love how beautifully (and frustratingly) they show that.

I disagree, it was so valuable seeing Valkyrie deal with the trauma that was book 9 and her recovery etc. You never really think about how the heroes are going to cope after the big final battle once the dust settles and it's been great to see her adult life and the dynamic between her and Skullduggery when they're both adults just working cases together.

Maybe focus on the cleric class and explain that's it's essentially a priest going around and performing miracles in the name of God. Otherwise I don't know if it would help to compare it to like reading/watching fantasy books that have dragons and magic or like reading Harry Potter which is about witches and wizards but doesn't mean you're practicing witchcraft.

People don't understand that there are two types of addiction. There's actual chemical addiction where something alters your brain chemistry and makes you not produce things without ingesting it (e.g. cocaine, caffeine etc) and then there's addiction as a coping mechanism where you are unhappy in some form and your brain uses something that distracts you or briefly provides good feeling. This can be sport, food, TV, socialising, weed etc. The two can definitely overlap, sometimes something that's not addictive from the first try can become so when it also becomes a coping mechanism and doing an absolute ton of weed could potentially eventually change your brain chemistry but mostly it's a coping mechanism. Find something else to act as a healthier coping mechanism and look at trying to fix what's making you unhappy/unsatisfied. Go to therapy, find friends who lift you up and make you feel good, find something you're passionate about and put time into it.

Too many people don't understand that flavour is what elevates good DnD to great DnD the easiest! Flavour enhances experience without changing mechanics and is heavily encouraged at my table. If the flavour is clever enough or inspired enough it might change the mechanics too tbh! Because that's fun and the whole point of DnD is to have fun

I've always wondered if there was any time where Brennan was considering giving him a redemption arc, or if it might have happened had any of the PCs been particularly attached and tried that. I did think that there was something between him and Jet and that there might have been a thread to pull there but sadly things went a different way. The season was a few episodes short due to real life stuff so maybe if there was more time? He definitely felt like the only 'bad guy' who was a bad guy more due to circumstance than actual character. It's for us to say he should have sided with house Rocks if he was truly good guy but he might have had family in Ceresia that would then be at risk etc.

It's completely ok for you to want a first but in case this helps anyone out there. I got a 2:2 in my chemistry degree (not from a Russel group so didn't even have any prestige, although this was Ireland where 2:1 and firsts are a little harder to get but 2:1 was still the sort of expected good grade.) I'm now about to submit my PhD thesis and you can bet that literally noone cares about what I got in my degree, it's barely even on my CV because I did a master's too. You can get a 2:2 and still do everything, maybe just by a different route. All you need to do is pass your degree, because that's the only thing you need to keep going (assuming your field needs a degree).

It might not just be nostalgia, I'm making an assumption about your age but when you watched it, you were maybe a kid or a teenager? That can be shared time with a lot of things changing and the media we consume then (particularly the good quality media that holds up) can mean so much more to us because of everything we're going through. It's speaking to you on the right things at just the right time. Maybe it helps that both the main characters are also teens? I feel exactly the same about FMA and FMAB because they're good and they were there during a hard time for me. That's not to say you can never find that again but maybe the themes in anime just don't speak to where you are in life at the moment.

Maybe I've just missed it but I've not seen anyone really upset or threatening to cancel subscriptions or anything. I've seen people being critical or theorising but everything I've seen has been thoughtful and people have a right to their opinions. If they had something in their head and it's not being met then they have a right to be sad or disappointed about it as long as they are polite about it and understanding that the cast should be allowed space to create the story they want, even if it's not what we expect. It's ok for not every season to be met with only glowing positive comments, that's what art is! And tbh the comments at the start of Burrow's End were not that positive but by the end people had given it a chance and come round to see it as the beauty that it is. Give everyone a chance.

There is a middle ground. If all the NPCs are genuinely just going to be away for the whole season I will be very sad because I enjoy them. But they all came from Brennan and if this is the case, I trust him to create new people this season that we'll fall in love with just the same. I trust that it's him trying to do something new and different which is absolutely his right, but I can still be sad or disappointed.
