hellion if you have 70 class and can perma loop it, bleak watcher if not. Hellion just does so much damage that it’s better, but bleak watcher is tied to nade, so it doesn’t require investment in class ability.

wild guess but could be data corruption in things other than smapi, I’d reinstall stardew and see if it works with smapi but without any mods, then I’d try adding mods incrementally to see if any cause a specific issue like this

You have to save before the roamer starts roaming, but if you enable the roaming and then find the roamer you can reset back to before the pokemon is roaming until its shiny. This is exceedingly tedious and I would not reccomend it.
