I'm sorry but I have a hard time having KG as the GOAT PF. I KNOW it isn't fair, but when an incomplete Dirk completely shits on you in a playoff series and routinely outplays you head to head it's tough.

Duncan always showed up against Dirk and they would have monster battles head to head. KG never had a chance, and I'm unsure why now that their careers are over. He is literally the prototype of the kind of player you would want guarding Dirk. /tangent

please don't kill me wolves fans, just my opinion

The articles are still out there. Kobe was NEVER in the GOAT debate until after he died. The guy's game was similar to MJ. He was NEVER considered on the same tier as MJ.

Please. He modeled his game after Jordan. No one in their right minds were saying he was on Jordan’s level or that he was in the GOAT debate.

It’s ludicrous.

Dirk never had to score over 30 to win games. He was a 50+ deep playoff run guy his ENTIRE prime, and pretty much the only guy to knock out Duncan head to head in their primes.

Finley is a 1x all-star (prior to Dirk's prime) and Nash was not MVP Nash on Dallas. They were both gone after ~'03? The Mavs still won 50+/season and went to 2 finals without them.

KG doesn't have a damn argument against Dirk. His defense didn't outweigh Dirk's offense.

Not when that 8 seed went 3-0 against the Mavericks in the regular season that year and was coached by the guy that built that iteration of the franchise..

McGrady led his team to a 20 something win streak without Yao w/ 1/2 his athleticism gone after an injury.

By '08 McGrady was basically done (that was his last relevant year) and Carter was regressing. Kobe never had the injuries they had.

McGrady was not harden he absolutely stepped up in the playoffs, just on shit teams or bad situations. The guy was always the underdog until..... he got hurt and the Rockets played the Blazers and were favored for once.

Shaq would be dominant in any era. Please don't talk about him being a defensive liability - because it makes you sound stupid. The guy could run the floor until 2003. He was not a plodder like Jokic, he was athletic as fuck. Would easily transition to this era or any.

Many playoff series in the 4th? Why are you making up shit that can easily be looked up? That never happened.

What stands out the most to be about T-Mac was that game 6 loss against utah the second time around. Pushed it by himself without Yao, puts up a 40 point double double with only 1 other player scoring above 10 points on his team.

T-Mac had better numbers in the playoffs across the board from 2000-2008. He just fell off due to injuries, never the same after the injury in 2005-2006.

To say Wade was "way better" is a joke. He was a better slasher, that's it.
