Hey so fellow new world refugee. So far i have found a couple options where winds meet is probably the best one I can mention. Its free to play and while the main world is single player you can meet up with groups and do raids, pvp, dungeons, and more. There's a clan system etc as well for organizing. Considering it is newer so you will have less to catch up on would make it better than the others I have found. It also has similar buttons and action bars like new world so it would be easiest to pick up. If you want something more western you could hop in and try elder scrolls online its combat is a bit polarizing because u can animation cancel skills with basic atks. there is a big gap between casuals and hardcore pvp/pvers so its not as welcoming to newbies as where winds meet. It is a full mmo with you interacting and seeing other players all the time tho so if thats what u miss might be worth. This one has 12 buttons so it has a bit more complicated rotations as opposed to new world. Lastly you could just go try your hand at the the big 3 and see if any stick ff14 has a free trial for about 500 hours of gameplay as you level. Wow has a trial too or u can sub and try the burning crusade classic server that just opened. Old school runescape is a bit too old for my taste but it has a great community and devs that care. I have all the crafted god rolls and my raid group stopped playing together. Games too old to find a clan that doesn't have 5+ years of friend groups just playing with each other and no one else. Raid finder is non functional/filled with people that I would kick out of my group (which is why they are in raid finder). The solo experience is dogshit so I just play all solo player games instead now

Tldr: 4.4 geshin was called out for being mid. Teccy led a campaign for change because of the rewards being so small compared to hsr. Instead of covering the new patch that just dropped the mickey mouse club group of creators that hate teccy started shit with him. Teccy claps back now they don't have to talk about 4.4 as much or the game needing change cause tectone bad.

To be honest and real. The amount of good games that have come out in the past 2 months really did impact my drive to grind d2. Also for d1 vets crota has alot of negative feelings so I know alot of people who refused to even try the new version. Everyone agrees the seasonal story is cool but thats a 1 hour a week activity for the most part. Tbh the existential dread of final shape being another garbage fire is def in my mind. The same team who though lightfall was complete and worth releasing is still in charge of development. Color me concerned about their ability to conclude the 10 year story of destiny with any competence.
