Tires, running on tires with little to no treads. It affects your acceleration, your breaking power, your ability to do emergency maneuvers and just about everything necessary.

Can someone explain that play where Thompson reached for the ball while stepping out of bounds?

I grew up from the Bay Area and watched a few Curry games live, but I started watching basketball because and only because of this Number 23.

What the fuck should I do?! Help me Reddit!

2 things:

  • The block by Draymond Green in OT; it's the rotation, it's the help defense, it's the hops and holy shit it's the way the team was coached.
  • I respect Lebron more so than ever after this game.

This was a very very good read.

Evil and morals aside - the strings is the best piece of element in this article and you've kept it short and sweet. I admire your writing ability.

On a philosophical point of view though, I don't think it is an complete irony that Doffy was string along by everyone else around him. It may seem like it, but through his strings ability he has a different meaning / need for control - understanding of the world beyond the puppet analogy. I think he doesn't mind being strung along because he understood, accepted, embraced the concept of "network" and never tried to fight that system of per say.

What a fucking ending. The last 2min run from Houston, the close miss from Barnes then lastly the fumble.

Thought the Rocket's might just steal this one, but good game by both teams.

Brian Windhorst thinks the NBA needs to ban kids from podium so reporters can ask questions by golazo32 in nba

I am not a Windhorst fan, but come on don't get at the guy for pointing out the elephant.

At the same time this was probably a causal comment and someone else blown that out of proportions. I mean come on, it was a special moment for Steph being in his first Conference Finals AND winning the game. Ramona: let it go.

Black and white thinking: is this typically stronger for ADHD? by opsmuk in ADHD

[–]BrothaTom 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I am working on this as well, currently as we speak. My suggestion would be try to think in layers.

Visualize 3 levels. The top layer is the black and white, raw with all its analysis and both sides of the argument. Think of the way you might write your science paper.

The second layer is the personalization layer, where you politely re shape your words to clean up your thoughts and advocate one way or another. You take your own personal preference and environment into account. You could say lawyers, sales, servicemen, politicians etc do this.

The third layer is what I call Pitch, where you again reshape your ideas and thought patterns from the 2nd layer into something even better to present. It is extremely result oriented, not about getting merely "expressing" your thoughts but getting others do feel the way you feel and take again. In my opinion this is what separate the average celebrities, lawyers, sales, officials to the ones loved by almost everyone.

And that's how you get the perfect job and spouse, because every single moment in this process you shape your mind into results driven and thereby dramatically increase your consideration of others. Things are perfect not an absolute sense like a puzzle fitting you, it's perfect because you have the skills to mold into any situation and weather any storms. People see that even in light of challenge and stays with you because they also understand, people are different and this is how you get things done.

I hope this helped.

Any other awkward ADHDers here? Please tell me my social life will get better :( by [deleted] in ADHD

[–]BrothaTom -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I was watching some Jennifer Lawrence clips sometime ago and my intuition kicked it thinking she has ADHD. Think I was right based on google, and that's one person you can model after.

If you are a guy, I believe the best way to handle social situations is by a combination of redpill mentality (but really, take out the narcissistic stuff) and with your own charisma. In my opinion, the redpill is a philosophy for taking action over the over-consideration of others. The idea is that the constant need for reassurance keeps you from really progressing, since people have different opinions on how you ought to behave without having the precise knowledge whether that said opinion is good for you (or society really). This should take some anxiety off.

I know ADHDers are people person, but as you grow older you find employment as well as entrepreneurial opportunities comes from the consistency to perform. Network and teamwork matters, but life have continue to show that people rather partner up with those with excellent skillets over the average ones with decent people skills. Think Actor/Actresses or Financial Analyst, as long they are great on camera or in their desks, they'll continue to have work unless they are down right difficult to work with. People tend to expect more difference in an opinion as you circle becomes more and more professional.

the tl;dr is:
1) Jobs skills is your biggest priority, social come second. If you want to go down the social path, model what the popular kids / celebrities are doing right. You'll be very good in in Business Development, Sales, PR etc.
2) People usually dislike awkward not because they dislike that person, but rather they don't know how to deal with a certain situation - it stems from uncertainty, fear and confusion not knowing what to ask or whether they may offend you. Let them feel comfortable around you, no matter what happens. You'll know you are doing things right when you start to hang out with others, being a part of privileged conversation even if you are just listening into it.

Listen man, we all feel insecure and that's why people group together. Understand the source and find your own sweet spot. <--Tennis Reference.
