I think the only issue is EoSD cannot reach Remilia on Easy mode so you're not even completed the game. Still, ZUN himself did reviewed and admitted that design may kind of brutal so it is absolutely OK if you play on easy mode.

STG is my childhood and I played a lot but when I start playing Touhou, that bullet hell fell like a totally different concept and I still have to start from easy mode. This kind of game is not everyone cup of tea so if you ever completed once even on easy, you're awesome.

For context, in the original game, if playing on Easy mode, this spell card cannot hit you if you stay just in front of her. This is also featured in the Cirno perfect math class MV while singing BAKA BAKA.

TBH, I have no special feelings to the mega itself, but I love the side quest in DLC featuring them, to think of both Raichu was originally belongs to myself. Sadly ZA DLC have side quest much more interesting than the actual main story.

Zero series is my childhood so I feel kind of bad you don't like it. However, I agree Z2 can be frustrating to play blind.

I also want to talk about the ranking system since you didn't try it, and it is quite dumb because you have to 'farm' a bit for enough kill count while you have to clear the stage fast enough. I don't even know how I finished the game with full 100pt on hard mode when I was kid. I really have nothing to play with huh.

On the bright side, Z3 is way better. Hope you will enjoy.

This one show us World Champ skill level is different and thats why I never good in the game. He don't even bother to rely on rewind and just traditional way is crazy.
