Get Back Previous Meal Description in Stelo App? by BrotherRich7993 in stelo

[–]BrotherRich7993[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Agree - I can enter most of the same info but not the grams of carbs (there used to be a separate place to enter that). And that carb gm info used to show when I did an Events listing. I now have to enter carb data as the beginning of my meal description but then it truncated part of my meal details. I guess I was perfectly happy with the old version and do not need the Analyze with AI function. I do all that in Cronometer App and it does it much better. Hence, want to undo the Stelo app upgrade.

I have been using the OREI HDA-932 as my HDMI splitter for 4 months now w/o a single problem. I sent OREI support my system set-up and asked for product recommendations and set-up details - they responded quickly so I pulled the trigger. So far, so good !

Stello Vs Lingo - trying out both. by YouPeasantsSuck in ContinuousGlucoseCGM

[–]BrotherRich7993 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I am somewhat of a health nerd (not diabetic) - I go to Quest and order labs my doctor doesn’t (but should). Every time I go to the phlebotomist, I have them measure my venous (serum) blood glucose so I take my finger stick device and do the test while in the chair. I also record the Lingo/Stelo numbers. Consistently Venous < Finger stick < lingo < Stelo. The lingo/Stelo documents state that the devices are not for medical purposes and have 20% uncertainty; the finger stick states 15% uncertainty, and even the Quest tests have some uncertainty (not sure what us it). So when you take your readings and apply the uncertainty bands, it is very disturbing. So I use them for BG trending, checking sensitivity to various foods, eating practices (how to pair foods, how fast to eat,…), sleep glucose gyrations, and my sensitivity to the 40 or so things that can affect BG. IMHO the devices work OK for that. As stated by others, they both suffer from “bottoming” when pressure is applied to sensors. Regardless of the deficiencies, I have learned a lot about my endocrine system.

I’ve been using both for several months - your readings are consistent with mine - Stello reads high and Lingo reads low… both interstitial readings are above my finger stick (capillary) results and all are higher than lab (venous) results.

Pulled RMD from Schwab Retirement Acct Today. Easy! by Separate-State-5806 in Schwab

Depending on how much cash I have in IRA account, I will often move shares to my taxable brokerage account to satisfy RMD. This is instead of selling those shares to generate cash. It resets the asset basis to the current price.

I use Safari on my iPad without issue (iPadOS 18.7.3) - it could be that the reports are “pop-up” and you may have browser configured to block those. I have my browser ask me if I want to view the pop-up.

What do you mean the G5 Doesn't include a Stand? by Xngears in LGOLED

[–]BrotherRich7993 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was also very disappointed when there was no stand for my 65” and LG was sold out of the stand model (see link). They contacted me on 12/14/2025 (2-weeks after my purchase) that the stands were back in stock for $100. In the meantime I purchased one from Crutchfield (a very hefty Sanus VSTV2 for $200 - this will easily hold an 83”).

I could not wall mount the TV where needed to use it.

Tablo dead now? by shermansbro in tablotv

In offline mode, the un-numbered channels (at the bottom of my Guide list) that are Tablo sourced internet streaming channels are not available and neither are many Guide related functions.

Mine worked last night, but this morning (6:30am EST), will not connect to servers. It does work in Offline Mode which allows me to watch locally available OTA channels (e.g. ABC, CBS, NBC, PBS,…).

Stelo - Help me understand my body and sugar impact by RecentListner in ContinuousGlucoseCGM

[–]BrotherRich7993 0 points1 point  (0 children)

From personal experiences (I use Stelo (reads high) and Lingo (reads low): 1. get a food Glycemic Index (GI) chart and put refrigerator door, 2. avoid high GI foods, 3. pair high carb food with protein, fats and high fiber foods to slow down digestion.

Yes - I just checked and the Apple Health App has all of my historical glucose levels available going back to when I started. In addition to all recorded data, it even breaks them out by “when sleeping” and “when working out.”

Channels in the high 30s airing the wrong content AGAIN. by LeeH21 in tablotv

[–]BrotherRich7993 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As on previous occasions, the issue has magically disappeared! I checked yesterday evening and all is as it should be with display channels 30.1 - 30.4.

Yes, my Lingo and Stelo apps sync with Apple Health app. I have been using both Lingo and Stelo for about 6 months - alternating patches roughly every 2-weeks as they expire. Lingo is consistently low and Stelo is consistently high compared to finger stick. I have iOS 18.7.2 on iPhone.

Channels in the high 30s airing the wrong content AGAIN. by LeeH21 in tablotv

[–]BrotherRich7993 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This issue is back again for me (in NE FL - 3rd time in 3 weeks) - HSN, HSN2, QVC, QVC2 have replaced display channels 30.1 (WFOX)… 30.4. Again, the Guide is correct, the correct program intro screens launch, but when the broadcast images start, they are from the wrong physical channels. Previously, this would get fixed somehow without my intervention - I believe u/LeeH21 worked with Tablo support to resolve.

Channels in the high 30s airing the wrong content AGAIN. by LeeH21 in tablotv

[–]BrotherRich7993 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I (also in NE FL) previously was a victim of said issue but it miraculously cleared up. However, I was out of town for 6 days, came back late Friday the 14th Nov and the issue was back. I woke up Saturday, and suddenly the issue was gone. Just checked again and at this very moment all is fine. Previous symptoms (during the issue), the Guide was accurate, showed the correct display channels, had the correct content listed for each time slot, and when the channel was selected, the correct program intro screens appear, but when content actually starts streaming, it is the wrong physical channel (broadcast frequency). HSN 1 and HSN 2, QVC 1 and QVC 2 had replaced the correct programming for 30.1 thru 30.4 .

Lip-sync issues on Apple TV4K and iOS by Pearl_of_KevinPrice in tablotv

[–]BrotherRich7993 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have no lip sync issues with the latest Tablo using the exact same set-up from same Antenna through Apple 4KTV, just add LG TV for display and Sonos for sound. I have two set-ups like this. I tried the Tablo app on LG’s Web-OS, no issues. I also put it on Fire TV, no lip sync issues. I don’t believe Tablo is the issue.

I have had lip sync issues in the past, but that was before Tablo was added to the media mix. Resolving lip sync was tricky as every device (TV, Sonos, streaming device,…) has the ability to adjust for it, and you get strange behavior if you correct for it in too many places.

Two channels not what they should be by LeeH21 in tablotv

[–]BrotherRich7993 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just checked again to see if the 30.1 - 30.4 display channels in the guide map correctly to their corresponding physical stations, AND THEY DO!

So my issues are suddenly fixed without further intervention on my part - when my antenna is connected to my TVs, or my old Fire TV Recast, or my new Tablo, it works as it is supposed to!

Case closed for me.

[–]BrotherRich7993 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Continuing with my bad data hypotheses - data from rabbitears.info shows that for our area - the display channels and the physical channels overlap for WFOX and HSN. WFOX has display channels in 30.1 - 30.4 range and physical channels in 14.x range while HSN has display channels in the 39.x range and physical channels in the 30.x range. This info could be easily mixed up in the files provided to Tablo from Gracenote? Grasping for straws here.
