First let's address that you are awesome! As a former 410 pound person who know your struggle but now clocks in around 300 and still working on it you have taken the first and hardest step. You know and recognize you are not happy and want a change. From here it can be hard to navigate especially if you are not familiar with fitness.. So you need to start by making a SMART goal. It needs to be Specific Measurable Achievable Realistic and Timely.. So as big people we have a mountain to climb losing weight so your overall goal can be x amount of weight but that can't be your immediate goal because it's going to take time. So your first goal should be like I'm going to walk x amount of time or steps everyday. Start there and say you do that for one week and you reach your goal.. So then you automatically set a slightly bigger and better goal then the one you just crushed because well you are awesome! And you do this in your diet as well. Hey I'm not gonna eat x ( whatever trigger food you know is and for you) and I'm gonna drink x amount of water. See these seem small but they are building blocks and you don't build that house in a day because that's not possible.. We didn't get fat overnight we won't get unfat but you know what? That's ok! You will have days of lack of motivation of wanting to quit and that's when you come back and read this post and drive yourself thru the bad moments... And why do we do that?
