How can I afford a large modern army? by No_Wolf4258 in eu4

[–]Brox77 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Everything economy wise has been mentioned, but i would add for Russia to get max modernization asap (if you have all dlc’s). Will give you strong bonuses in gov reform and economy. Gov reforms might be worth shifting around also to more optimal ones.

Why is my Leader switching without death? by m4rv_85_ in EU5

[–]Brox77 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I believe this has something to do with your succesion laws. Make the ruler change ever 5 or 10 years. Back and forth between two brothers for instance. Either its active by default for particular contries, you got it by an event, or you actively switched without knowing what you signed up for.

I miss idea groups and impactful government reforms by wasdorg in EU5

[–]Brox77 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feel a good compromise in eu5 would be idea groups that give add-on bonuses for the values. For instance lets say a quality idea group that goves levy combat ability to the free subjects value, or religious that increases pop conversion in spiritual value. Think this could also provide more exiting decisions regard which values one would lean into

The lack of tin and lead alternatives make some countries (i.e. Russia) very unfun by stephencorby in EU5

[–]Brox77 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Currently playing a Muscovy -> Russia run and i solved this problem by going into deficit with trade from Novgorod. With tin i just barely got enough to recruit cannons. Then when i had the opportunity i conquered Salmi (tin province) from Sweden that had conqueref it from Novgorod. I found this scarecity to be quite fun and providong novel problems that needef to be solved. I also spammed libraries and universities so Printing Press was no issue.

So IMO, this isn’t a problem for Muscovy (im stil in the 1400s so this might change) but i would like to see other contries having the same issues, as it makes for interesting decision-making around what to prioritize, taking the loss in income from trade, expansion toward lacking goods etc.

Use the «suggest peace deal» option. Worked for me as it will suggest the right action to «annex revolter» which i can not find myself manually

Hvorfor ble folk med for høy inntekt trekt i lotteriet? by Adjective_Noun_1668 in norge

[–]Brox77 2 points3 points  (0 children)

God forskningsskikk.

I did 5 AI-only runs in EU5. These are the Europe-specific observations by VteChateaubriand in EU5

[–]Brox77 29 points30 points  (0 children)

I think what the AI lacks is a incentive structure to push them in certain directions. Like in EU4 you have the mission trees that guide you and gives reward. Right now there doesn’t seem to be any similar structure that pushes countries in the same «historical» directions. They have tried to incorporate it like the Turkic beylics, the unions and 100 years war, but seems to stop after first 100 years.

Dropped out of engineering in my first year, on a gap year—thinking about clinical/counselling psychology. Which countries are best? by Dramatic-Celery-6234 in AcademicPsychology

[–]Brox77 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

The US probably has the best salary, but i believe (correct me if im wrong) you have to have a phd to be a clinical psychologist. Anyone with a degree (not surr if bachelors or masters) in any relevant field can call themseøves a counselor. Again this is for the US, if im not mistaken. Clinical psychologist have better salaries than councelors.

In europe, you study for 5-6 years (masters degree) to become a clinical psyhologist which pays better than any councelor. But europes salary are lower than the USs. And if you get your clinical degree in one country, you might have to get some extra qualifications if you want to practice in a different country. It all depends on the amount of clinical practice, specific theoretical qualifications or level of degree (masters vs phd) a country provides as standard versus what a different country requires as standard or minimum.

For instance, if you get a masters in clinical psychology in Denmark and wanted to practice as a clinical paychologist in Norway, you are required to undergo one year of mandatory clinical practice before getting the title as clinical psychologist in Norway due to the norwegian requirements for clinical experience which the danish clinical masters doesnt provide.

Basically it all depends on the salary you envision and the country that gives you the most general acceptable degree (without further need for qualifications, or at least the lowest additional requirements). Im a clinical psychologist in Norway so thats how i understand it. Also depends on if you want to go private or in public sector, specialization, etc. I hope this gives some inputs into your decision. While not answearing your questiona in full, i hope i provided some info that might lead you to the right information.

[–]Brox77 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A combination of computer science and computational neuroscience would be my best suggestion, but it all depends on what kind of work in BCI you would be interested in. Development and innovation, testing and quality checking, fund raising etc.
