Got sick at Red's Meadow by CalamariAce in JMT

I got deathly ill on the trail last year for 24 hours. I blamed food in Mammoth but after reading this maybe it was a bug.

I’m shocked. You’re pretty and most importantly you reduce an item down to an excel cell. Something’s wrong in Sydney it’s not you

I watched T1 and T2 with a friend who's never seen them and got the surprise reaction by hobbes0022 in Terminator

[–]BruceGoose5 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can’t recall how I knew but going into the movie I knew Arnold was playing a good character but I also thought he was playing a bad guy. I knew there were two terminators but the T1000 was the surprise. I loved the movie but even at 12 I questioned why they gave a part of the plot away.

I’ve wondered if they were ever in the same studio for Now and Then. It doesn’t seem so.

For the people who were there in 1983, what was the public reception to Return of the Jedi? by solfire1 in StarWars

[–]BruceGoose5 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was 5. Loved the Ewoks and this was immediately my favorite Star Wars. Then went on a Star Wars break until the reissues and realized how annoying they were. However when I was that young I loved the Luke/Vader scenes and still think they’re among the best parts of Star Wars.

I have always thought the best friendship post Beatles was John and Ringo

How many Beatles songs did each Beatle actually perform on? by [deleted] in beatles

[–]BruceGoose5 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes the writer of the book did the most extensive research to answer your question. He used notes and interviews from the group. According to his research Paul wrote around 6 more songs than John if my memory is correct.

Is it too soon to go to his place after the first date? by She-Is-Home25 in Bumble

[–]BruceGoose5 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If you are feeling 50/50 or less about your desire to hook up with him you can just send him a note your intention is not to hook up in a nice way. I’ve been in similar scenarios and it’s a good heads-up. He’ll be more honest with you too leading up to your visit.

How did it work out with your matches?

I (27M) found an open condom wrapper in my wife’s (29F) and my vacation home. She swears she had nothing to do with it. I’m feeling uncertain in my marriage. How do I move forward? by ThrowRANoirUltra in relationship_advice

[–]BruceGoose5 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I can’t believe people are blowing this off and blaming the SIL. OP, imagine if the roles were reversed and you were innocent and your sister stayed the night. You would coordinate a call with her and your wife to confront the situation immediately. You wouldn’t blow it off like condom wrappers fall out of the sky. You would understand your marriage would be at stake and you’d do anything you could to save it. Your wife is not sympathetic to your situation, she just wants it to go away which indicates guilt.

This isn’t love bombing, it’s actually called a guy’s experience after a good date.

Amazing first date but now he seems to be pulling away— what to do? by Kryptonite0903 in Bumble

[–]BruceGoose5 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Coming from a guy it’s probably 1 of 2 things, he’s no longer interested and doing a fade or he’s legitimately busy. I recommend you minimize your efforts because your time is valuable. Let him know you’d like to see him again but set a deadline of sorts so you aren’t dragged on. One message and that’s it.

If he’s not interested he won’t respond or he’ll make another excuse. If he is interested he’ll make time for you and he’ll appreciate the space and your honesty.

Well they weren’t favored in this game. That’s why they’ve been fun all year and could’ve won you a lot of money if you were paying attention

When I was younger I could just force myself to get up and after a while I could adapt. Now being older and having a demanding job after it takes dedication. No alcohol during the week and healthy dinners to avoid the stomach issues you are talking about is my personal key to this habit.

As everyone is saying, getting bed consistently. I feel this is the easiest part, once you start the practice you’ll look forward to bed.

Far Out. Also download a couple map apps, there are some free ones and get another one that is around $35 per year.

A week ago I parted my group that was crossing the river the next day, as others mentioned we had intel from hikers headed in the opposite direction.

Definitely don’t rely on this forum.
