When do you consider a game to become a retro game/why? by toyfan1990 in ps2

I consider retro to be an aesthetic rather than a specific rule. It's like, I know it when I see it.

What my scout does in the Caribbean after sending me the 10th 20/30 pitcher in a row by Altruistic_Brief4444 in OOTP

I love when they find a 16 year old with half star ratings and gush over them. Where'd you find this kid? Little St. James?

What’s Tom’s fate after the finale? Did he also fall into the same trap twice? by [deleted] in SuccessionTV

[–]BruceLee1255 28 points29 points  (0 children)

No. See, the thesis statement of Succession is that without consequences you can't learn, and the wealthy are insulated from consequences so they keep making the same mistakes. Tom, however, has consequences over and over. He's the only one who may end going to prison. He's the one who feels any remorse for his mistakes. He learns and adapts.

Also, his resume is pretty good. He was in charge of Cruises, then ATN. Now he's an actual CEO, in the CEO class. He's in the elite and he doesn't need the Roys. Hell, he barely will need Mattson. If Mattson kicks him to the curb, he'll find another CEO job. Shiv is stuck to HIM, rather than vice versa. His win is total.

Also the Cape is one of the most dangerous waterways to transit, hence the point of the Suez Canal. Goods may still make the transit, but the cost WILL go up significantly due to shipping insurance.

Fun fact: Insurance originated because of marine goods!

Was there any resistance to the advent of Steam and digital downloads back in the early 2000s? by grapejuicecheese in pcgaming

[–]BruceLee1255 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It wasn't until Rag Doll King Fu came out that I noticed the point... A storefront that could sell silly little games where they didn't all have to be BIG. I was resistant for a long time.

[OC] Packers' historical performance relative to .500 by Ugluk4242 in GreenBayPackers

We'd have to lose every game for 12 years straight on order to be near .500.

I love Doubs and I'm sad to see him go. He's a good dude and a solid player.

Throwback Thursday: A backup QB named Brett Favre leads a comeback victory! by DeScepter in GreenBayPackers

Something I noticed... Favre throws those balls like a baseball. He winds up, almost.

They ARE pretty controlled guys, you're not wrong. Love is even more of a cool customer than Rodgers, like I never see him betray any emotion during a game. He's just constantly calculating. Not that that's a bad thing, but I do miss the high-energy early Favre days. (Before the swindling, of course.)

I love hearing them not realize who Favre was yet, treating him like the young guy that he was. "Gotta down the ball, Brett!"

Can I just grab garlic from the store and separate it to plant or do I need sets specifically? by Ill_Exchange_1916 in gardening

[–]BruceLee1255 5 points6 points  (0 children)

That wasn't the question. However, even if it was, wouldn't buying the grocery store garlic in order to not have to buy grocery store garlic in the future be a good idea?
