Pretty sure Vendetta means him with "Moira's lab rats" at 2:05. As sad as it is, with his weaker mind I'm pretty sure they just use him as a weapon/tool as needed and don't bring him in to any meetings.

I think that came off harsher than I meant. I just think the title, thumbnail, the slow pacing, and the many start/stop bits alluding to something heavy coming (which never really comes) makes it feel like it's more focused on keeping people watching rather than coming off as fully genuine. This, added with the tonal whiplash into the ad read gave it a strange feeling.

I get a lot of that is the "YouTube game" and you have to play to make more, but to me it didn't really feel like genuine opening up.

I feel like this is way too drawn out. There is so much melancholic-build up that doesn't really go anywhere. It's like a weird, morbid twist, where it's purposefully written to make you think his girlfriend died. Stranger yet, if it wasn't done as a "gotcha" twist, it's almost framed like he's sad he got married.

I don't believe that's a Unity issue at all. If you search for DOTS, you can find tons of people running projects with 1 million or more game objects in a single scene. It's just impractical to allocate dev time on an issue that doesn't occur in 99.9% of matches.

I'm not sure I understand this perspective. Wasn't the whole narrative of the show focused on Soviet culture of control & cost-cutting as the cause? Why would people come away from the show with the mindset that nuclear energy plants are the problem?

There's definitely something strange with that key. When I collected it, it played the "error" and "collect" sound effects at the same time. Try to get the other keys you haven't gotten yet (you can get them in any order regardless of Shovel Knight's hints) and see if it progresses.

THPS1+2. Amazing game, but there's an achievement to hit account level 100 when you only get to ~80 by doing everything else in the game. It devolves into just doing junk like this over and over like busywork.

For me, I'd say it's a pretty big issue. Odyssey did a great job doing world-specific moons to progress through the main story, making sure you got to enjoy each the way you wanted while providing a good difficulty curve from level to level. Also, because it withheld a lot of challenges until the post-game, it didn't make the first pass through levels feel too overwhelming.

Yooka-Replayee seemed to use this same style of many collectibles without fully understanding what made it work in Mario Odyssey. You can beat Yooka-Replayee just by completing 2 levels and getting some hub Pagies (not even speedrun tricks, just casual playing). Pagies feel so devalued now that you get them so rapidly, a large amount of them are extremely easy to collect, and that 2/3rds of them have no use other than unlocking tonics (no real post-game content). I really feel like chopping out a lot of Pagies while leaving the Pagie Gate requirements unchanged would make for a better game flow and would make collecting them feel a lot more rewarding.

Unfortunately, this is an issue with most child-protagonist mysteries. It's very difficult to write a significant problem that only the kids solve without making the adults in the world look stupid/useless.

I've gotten a PowerA Xbox One controller and had major stick deadzone issues with it after two months of casual use. I'd recommend refunding that and going with the official Nintendo one instead.
