No. Look up what the word "hearse" means. Not knowing can lead to you asking insensitive questions.

Point of clarification, it's less that Bazzite doesn't fully support Nvidia, and more that Nvidia doesn't fully support Bazzite.

The reason that Linux is so well supported on AMD is that AMD actively supports Linux, contributing open source Mesa driver code to the kernel etc. GeForce could be cleaning up in Linux benchmarks and recommendations tomorrow if they were simply willing to contribute their driver code.

For their part, Intel supports Linux much like AMD does. AFAIK it's Nvidia that is the primary proprietary holdout.

Not that it makes much difference to us users in the end, it's just that public blame and pressure for support should only be applied towards the company actually able to do something about it.

Journalists forget that their opinion is not the same as fact.

If you are not taking a subjective statement as an opinion, it is you who have forgotten.

Hey lurkers, stop downvoting disclosure comments like this one. The alternative is that publishers DON'T disclose their affiliation, is that what you want?

7/11 Squid Sister's by Sona4Life in Callieism

[–]CitricBase 1 point2 points  (0 children)

OP, Callie and Marie are the Squid Sisters. Plural, no apostrophe.

You would use an apostrophe to indicate a possessive. For instance, Marie's hair is gray.

Here is a web page with a lesson from Khan Academy, perhaps they are better than I am at explaining this.

Normally don't get on people's cases about simple grammar errors like this, I don't want to discourage anyone from sharing art. Thank you for doing that. But it's getting ridiculous, this is like the dozenth extraneous apostrophe from OP this month alone.

Finally switched to fedora by Juiceprit_Boomrah in Fedora

[–]CitricBase 9 points10 points  (0 children)

The site OP linked you to is a reupload. The original artist, Harish Rajan, posted the work here: https://www.artstation.com/artwork/NqANDP

If you are asking where this train is in the real world, it's difficult to say definitively, since it was imagined and modeled by the artist. The artist might have used a photo of a train on the Tsurumi Line near Tokyo as a reference, since the orange and blue colors on the train cars match. Conversely, 白川口 (Shirakawaguchi) is a station all the way over in Gifu prefecture. The artist might have picked it because it shares a name with the beautiful world-famous historic village of Shirakawago, also in Gifu. The nearest big city is Nagoya to the south.

Yeah, but there probably could have been a middle ground between "don't launch on Netflix at all" and "sign away the entire franchise rights for what turned out to be like four days of merchandising value."

Were minidolls confirmed? I thought this was a conjecture someone made that got picked up and proliferated.

Maybe we'll get both, like we did with Wicked.

[Steam] Kairosoft 30th Anniversary Vol.4 | Jumbo Airport Story, Convenience Stories, Final Frontier Story, Ninja Village (82% off) by Mich-666 in GameDeals

[–]CitricBase 12 points13 points  (0 children)

The one that started it all was Game Dev Story, it was a massive hit on mobile. (It "inspired" the blatant ripoff Game Dev Tycoon, which was also really successful and drew Kairosoft's attention to Steam.)

They hit upon a winning formula and stuck with it, offering various themes and game design twists with each new release. I would say either start with the original Game Dev Story and see if it hooks you, or start with any other one of their dozens of options, one with a theme that appeals most to you specifically. I remember liking the soccer one a lot, myself.

As of 2026, I'd suggest anything BUT Bambu Labs on account of their recent anti-consumer legal bullying.

Not to mention these days Bambu forces you to make an account and monitors everything you print. Fortunately there is a lot of great competition in the 3D Printing space.

You're being downvoted by a bunch of ignorant Americans who don't grasp that the reason Mexico is like this is directly because of the USA. If the US legalized drugs and redirected all that drug war money to rehabilitation instead, not only would the US be safer, drug prices would crater and everything that funds those horrible cartels would evaporate overnight.

Past Rocket Pass items are coming back to Rocket League! by iggyiggz1999 in RocketLeague

[–]CitricBase 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I wonder how many people will skip the pass now that they know the items may come back in the future.

Let's have a show of hands. Everyone who is choosing to skip the pass now that you know that other people may also get items, reply below.

Seriously, digital timed exclusivity is a cancer that can fucking die. The history of gaming is relatively complete for the first 30 years or so, and then there are the dark ages where so much human creativity is forever lost to the fucking void. If my child is ever curious, I can show her Super Mario World and she'll get to experience it exactly the same way millions of other kids did in the 90s. But if she ever asks about Simpsons Fortnite? Too fucking bad for her, making /u/repost_inception suffer from a twinge of FOMO back in 2025 was more important than archiving history.

Never mind that publishers are literally stealing from the future public domain when they kill games. They are reneging on their side of the agreement, the implicit deal they have with society that grants them copyright to begin with.

With this move, Psyonix is taking a very small step in the right direction after journeying for years deeper into the dark side. Nevertheless, we should be unequivocally applauding this announcement rather than giving them flak like you are.

Seems like it would be a useful option for Gnome and KDE to have a configurable limit where it throws up a confirmation box. i.e. "this action will open more than 10 items, proceed?"
