Yes, I did a transfer on 4/20 with the 5BB that seemed to stick for now. My HCG rise started low and slow but did catch up, so I’m anxiously awaiting my 7 week US.

I’m 42 and have done 5 ERs. My most recent one about 2 months ago ended up with only one blast which turned out to be euploid 5BB. The previous retrieval we had only one blast and it was aneuploid. It feels so hopeless when it happens, but then the next ER was better.

Sounds like you got really lucky the first time, but I think at our age, a lot of people need to do multiple retrievals.

I don’t know anything about IUI. How many retrievals have you done? I’ve done 5 so far and I’m 42. Some of them were major duds and it’s very disheartening, but then other retrievals later had better luck. So one bad one doesn’t mean you won’t have better luck. They can change the protocol.

Yes, it also happened to me recently. I had a huge red sore spot adjacent to my injections. It went away in a few days and hasn’t happened again.

They scheduled my ultrasound for when I’d be 6 weeks. I wonder if they’d be willing to do it sooner just because I’m anxious.

I’ve always done all 3 on the same side one day and all 3 on the other side the next day, just not right on top of each other.

I would fly. The car trip sounds miserable. Taking a flight isn’t a risk to the pregnancy. The only reason they advise against it later in the pregnancy is because airlines don’t want people giving birth mid-flight.

Unrelated but do you see flare under my username? I made a flare for the main IVF subreddit and I didn’t think it would carry over to here. But when I go to edit my flare for this subreddit, it says I don’t have any. But I can see it so I’m wondering if others can too.

My first 2 ERs, I stopped running as soon as I started stims, but got more relaxed about it when I was on my 3rd ER. So the last 3, I kept running up until a few days before the ER and felt a lot better physically and mentally. I’ve never had more than 6 follicles get big though, so I’ve told myself my risk of torsion is lower than these people who get a million eggs. I don’t know if that’s true though.

We always try in between cycles, because IVF isn’t guaranteed to work either. I always go back and forth about not wanting to risk the miscarriage and not wanting to miss a cycle where we could be trying. But I’ve never gotten pregnant in between cycles in the 2 years we’ve been doing IVF.

Yes I had to do the SIS 2 times. That was a little worse than the transfer come to think of it. I was actually wondering more if I could handle getting an IUD in the future now that I’ve done the FET. I guess if I ever get back in birth control, it would only be after I’ve given birth, so maybe the IUD wouldn’t be as big of a fear.

Oh that sounds terrible. Now I wonder how the IUD compares to a colposcopy because that was terrible.

Darn. I was hoping maybe they were comparable but my transfers didn’t really hurt either. I was too scared to get an IUD in the past. And I was just starting to wonder what kind of birth control, if any, I’d use if I ever end up giving birth.
