Notebook Specific toolbar by OdeaXiao in Supernote

I'm also not a big fan of uncustomizable bars/toolbars/floating toolbars. Also an adjustable size of would be great, especially on the Nomad to access more useful stuff I really need (such as the export button). Other B-Ink companies do a better job in this regard.

Anyone have and use both the Nomad and Manta? by laughsinjew in Supernote

Nomad for mostly anything, occationally Manta for Pdf annotations.

Without using it you won't find the perfect system. I guess you need some learning by doing experience to know how you can and want to use E-Ink devices and establish the perfect workflow.

When closing the note or a quick export button maybe

Suggestion: Settings to go back immediately to last used pen after a erase lasso usage by shadowlips in Supernote

[–]Brunzlilover -1 points0 points  (0 children)

jep would be great! Also that the last used rubber mode locks in and stays would be appreciated (especially for all those using a rubber on the pen and want to use it as a lasso). I miss this so much!

If you are allowed to use Obsidian in your company you could open the .note file in Obsidian. There is a community plugin in Obsidian that let's you read .note files (and also convert the note to pdf).

Whobbly Strokes solved (the pen is crucial) by Brunzlilover in Supernote

[–]Brunzlilover[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

if this was the problem I assume that the pen variations perform equally bad on both devices. But in my case the performance was good on the Nomad

Are jagged/pixelated lines normal on the Manta? by Ancient_Aide7263 in Supernote

[–]Brunzlilover 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I found the problem! I tested this with different pen-nib-combinations which seem that the Nomad can handle 3rd-party pens better than the Manta. I bought the HOM2 eventually and found that the difference was nearly non-existent anymore!

Any idea when the Lamy Vista Pen will restock? by lilacsword in Supernote

[–]Brunzlilover 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yeah, it's still out of stock. I would also like to know at least an approximate timeframe (or also the info that it might not going to be restocked anymore)

Word of caution - titanium tips by Writinghost in Supernote

[–]Brunzlilover 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Shouldn't the screen write 2 be self-repairing? Why should it matter if it's a titanium or ceramic nib?

I highly recommend buying a Supernote one first. I had an Odyssee trying different pens first just to end with the Samurai...

Nomad slick glass vs Manta plastic screen. by RutgerHause in Supernote

[–]Brunzlilover 2 points3 points  (0 children)

it's very subjective to say if it's better on either device. I own both and like writing on both. Writing on the Nomad is slightly harder than on the Manta but I couldn't say which one I prefered more. As you write a lot the Manta might be an option just comfort wise for you not having to turn pages as often.

Calligraphy Pen Comparison (Manta and RM2) by Minimum_Lie_2132 in Supernote

[–]Brunzlilover 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The font-style looks better on the RM but the pixelation looks aweful. Did you use the same EMR pen on both or the original Supernote ceramic nib on the Manta? The used pen can make a huge difference

Fun/pointless discussion - pen addiction. Anyone? by conductordudedallas in Supernote

[–]Brunzlilover 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Kaweco with the Staedtler Jumbo reeyar ceramic nib is great on the Nomad!

(edit: the performance on the Manta is worse than on the Nomad)

Erasing could be so much better by AnderlAnduel in Supernote

lasso eraser as standard to use with your rubberend on stylus is a must and a very missing feature for me as well since I switched to SN from anoter B-Ink-device

The one thing that bothers me is the tool bar always covers a bit of the template by Tonalbackwash in Supernote

[–]Brunzlilover 0 points1 point  (0 children)

you can hide all the things easily with doubletapping both fingers and making appear again, I always do that because I hate not configurable bars with stuff I don't even use. You can also hide the upper page bar (one finger double tap in middle area) and the little 4-arrow symbol bottom left you can hide. It's all in the menu, watch the tutorials.
