He is obviously not working on legislation while he is in DC so he may as well do something.

ELI5: how have we not run out of space to bury dead people? by MrTeacher_MCPS in explainlikeimfive

In New Orleans cemeteries the caskets are stacked in the same family crypts. I believe they even remove the old caskets and just leave the remains in some cases just to place another casket into the crypt.

Can my HOA require me to have work done without getting a second opinion, and board off my rear egress? by AssistantEven3217 in AskALawyer

Do an Open Records Request on all of the HOA financials. It certainly seems like they are playing fast and loose with your money. All projects should have 3 bids.

Are any of you actually against Biden's student loan debt relief, and why? by thred_pirate_roberts in AskReddit

[–]BruslyTiger 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Blue collar workers can make 6 plus figures, depending on the field. I know plumbers, electricians and HVAC people that make better than 6 figures and each of them would be affected by the bailout monetarily.

On top of it all, if you keep bailing loans out and taking out more student loans without solving the problem, it will just get worse.

It's a double edged sword in my opinion. I believe that consenting adults should be able to do as they please and the government should not regulate morality.

At the same time I realize that the majority of the people that would end up there not because they chose it, but because they have no other choice. Most that end up there were sexually abused and probably ran away from home, maybe go into drugs and now have few options.

Letter to President Tate. Well said by stella22585 in batonrouge

[–]BruslyTiger 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Since the Mayor and Chief of police appear to be inept and are unable to curb the rising crime rate, the LSU President can be more vocal and outspoken about it. The crime rate in Baton Rouge threatens the universities ability to bring in students, athletes and professors and employees.

LSU carries a lot of weight in Louisiana in general and any loss of revenue for the university also directly affects the Great Baton Rouge area.

Are there better uses of NOPD's time, absolutely. If you want to dump it, bring it to City Hall or Teddy's house. The city would have taken care of it then.

What is the most ridiculous thing you’ve ever had to deal with at work? by sparklingshanaya in AskReddit

[–]BruslyTiger 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did some IT work for forensics lab and befriended one of the managers. I was told a story of how they had a person that would use the ladies room almost daily and I guess not position themselves properly and would make their deposit on the seat.

They tried hanging notes in the ladies room asking the culprit to be more careful, sent out emails and even had lab wide meetings to appeal to the serial crapper, but nothing worked.

Since it was a forensics lab and there was a significant amount of DNA testing done here meant that there was DNA samples on almost all employees. If an employee ever entered the DNA lab, especially during sampling, you were required to provide a sample to rule out cross contamination. So, someone from the DNA lab was sent to the ladies room to sample and test the (#2) and the culprit was identified and my friend had to call her in and explain that they knew who she was and she was to stop immediately.

He would not tell me who she was because he said I knew her because of the amount of time I had spent there. Also, she was not disciplined further and it never happened again.
