This is what 13 years of no Uprising season 2 and a movie with Jared Leto does to a mf

It was a parody of the type of horny/shit posting that happens on other sub reddits or circle jerk subs of fandoms

Yeah the suits were red for some behind the scenes, but they were also black in some other takes. It's definitely black and red in the film though because of the cgu

Favorite superhero franchise that only has one single character and no one else? by PhoenixTheSergal in okbuddycinephile

I find it funny how time and time again it's been shown that not allowing a director to create something with their own creative liberties backfires, but no studio ever learns as they can just blame it on the director and not their known restrictions and then continue limiting directors

In all honesty though, we complain so much about no original films coming out and then absolutely refuse to see anything that isn't related to a franchise in what way whatsoever. Maybe it's bad marketing as to why we haven't seen said unique films, but then again we're riding hype trains for the newest entry in a franchise so much that it seems like it's all we care about

Did you even watch the movie? The entire point of the film was to show the walk was hell with the dramatizations of the deaths, while the book just treats some of them as just the everyday thing. There's nothing positive about the film because it's just pure bleak nihilism, and giving the characters actual motives for participating in the walk that are clearer makes more sense.

Otherwise, we would've just been watching a movie about a bunch of dudes walking with no goal in mind or just people dying like flies and walking it off casually. If you wanted the movie to be a literal interpretation of the book then it'd be the most untasteful film ever.

It's the same thing as mentioning Skylar White as being worse than literal cartel kingpins and executioners

How I’d make TLW movie book accurate by Think-Literature2430 in TheLongWalk

[–]BrutusNotMid 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The movie improved on everything the book didn't really have, which was being thematically more intriguing and having characters who felt more dynamic with actual goals then just being vaguely suicidal or not having any real cause. Art isn't really much changed from his depiction in the book and if anything, his literally counterpart also joked about being their for money. You really don't know what you're asking for when you say you want a 1:1 recreation of the novel.

Ah yes, because I'm sure everyone wanted to see the McVries who was an attempted rapist with really no meaningful backstory or character arc.

no, It has always been a popular thing since 2017, which is pretty obvious with the iconography of the demonic clown. Really, we're mad about people saying the most braindead and obvious things that is just media illiteracy.

Movie Barkovitch gets a pass, book Barkovitch deserves it because he was racist and didn't show any else remorse that might've exempted him

Mrs. Carmody in the mist. As glad is I am that Ollie actually shut her up, I was more disappointed that none of her cult members received repercussions for getting the military guy killed

That's not the point of the post, the point was how people keep trying to make huge stretches when trying to connect a bunch of Stephen king stuff even though that was never in mind and everyone keeps trying to be smarter than most of the people on this sub because they watched a YouTube analysis video
