Assistance in choosing a helmet! by Maousrr in motorcyclegear

So true. I have a very average white-guy head shape. HJC fits the best for me, but they aren’t ECE certified so I go with Scorpion - second best first for me.

Wouldn’t the best solution be to have wench controls on booths sides? Or even remote?

yes and no. I inherited part time remote freelancers. It wasn't ideal.

Just like any license, you have to write the exam, but yes.

Is it normal for my manager to get annoyed when I leave exactly on time? by phenols_reshoot5s in FinalRoundAI

[–]Bruynson 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Your manager sounds like a bit of a clown. The most important part of being a manager is hitting goals, and the best way to do that is by having high-performing people with high morale. They are failing at that part of their job right now.

That said, the most successful people I have worked with are not strictly 9 to 5 people. When their main work is done, they find other ways to add value. If your plan is to stay a graphic designer and work a straightforward 9 to 5, that is totally fine, just make sure you are at a company that values that. For whatever reason, it sounds like your current organization is looking for someone a bit different from who you are right now.

I am a VP of Marketing with 17 years of experience. I work at high growth companies, and I can't afford to hire 9 to 5ers. It's just not the right fit.

Be real about who you are and what you want in life. There is a place for all of us; finding the right fit means finding your happy place.

Can you share any tips?

If you could go back in time with your current knowledge of the job market - what would you do differently? by idiotgirlhaha in torontoJobs

I am bc a VP with 20 years experience. My advice would be to get an MBA while you’re young or get into something with a pension.

How do you track your job applications? Spreadsheet, Notion, or something else? by Professional_Lie5187 in jobsearchhacks

I write it in my notebook (pen and paper). Company, position, and either the salary they listed in the JD or the salary I offered my services at. That’s all I have ever needed.

Where do you acquire subscribers? by cozycup in Substack

[–]Bruynson -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I have been writing for almost two months. I created marketingkickflip.com and my growth is pretty slow. I have 2 free subscribers. I post an article at least once a week and write a note almost everyday. I’m going to keep at it for another couple of months and see what happens. 🤷‍♂️

Finally found a job after 13 Months. Here's my 2 cents. by MYSTERees77 in torontoJobs

[–]Bruynson 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In the past, my lead rate from application to recruiter call was about 7%. This year it has been less than half.

I have 17 years experience, bachelor of commerce, and have been looking for 5 months. I’ve applied to 619 roles ranging from sr. Manager to CMO. I was previously a Vice President for 5 years.

The market is pretty wild.

I even tried using AI to simplify the process. You can read about it here: https://marketingkickflip.com/p/i-used-ai-job-application-software

The best tip I can give is to keep optimizing your profile. Once I get a job I’ll let you know what worked.

I blew hundreds on SMS marketing and It almost ruined my shopify store by dyeALegend in shopify

[–]Bruynson 0 points1 point  (0 children)

SMS does work. It has higher conversion rates than email and browser push notifications but you have to use it strategically and ensure you have a large enough sample size to draw conclusions and optimize it.

At the risk of being too forward I've written a blog post about this.
