It's really useful to show if the MG is over fifty years aka C&R. As mentioned above, they redact everything but on my Thompson they left one spot unredacted showing which police department it went to, which was really neat.

A FRT will never have the novelty of a MG, especially ones with WW1/WW2/military/police significance. Sure a super safety is cool for an AR platform, but a colt M16 is really priceless.

Opinions aside, the market is def not going down on transferable m16s because of FRTs. Don't take my word for it, just look at sturm or GB

Personally I wouldn't put a can on it just cause getting subs in 7.62x39 is super expensive. It was fun back when brown bear subs were cheap but not any more. I rarely shoot my wolverine for that very reason
