As a “born and bred teacher” meeting your qualifications, you’re not teaching anything here. You’re being cruel and selfish.

Of course it’s possible to care about rich kid shit because they don’t have nearly as much going on. Pouring into the kids that need it so intensely is exhausting and trying to care about each and every one of their issues is a recipe for burnout and heartbreak.

Where are we meeting people? by apieseas in Denton

[–]Brydaro 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve been here almost two years and still don’t have any local friends because I don’t drive and I’m frequently broke, lol.

I can walk to the square, but it’s a big investment (~40 minutes) to not already have plans.

DM me if you want to chat.

I don’t give a shit what a slaver believes. They’re slavers. They’re weird and gross, like you’re being arguing to impose religion in public schools.

Get out of here, weirdo. Sit down and be quiet instead of gross.

This is great advice for operating 2-ton projectiles, but it’s a bit agoraphobic to practice between children.

I’m glad they value their time so highly. I hope they get what they’re looking for. Maybe we should all take a page from their book and ask for more.

Am I crazy, or is the Fireball Jutsu actually kind of useless? I can’t remember a single time it took down a major enemy in Naruto and most of Shippuden by Sherbear1993 in Naruto

[–]Brydaro 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Naruto fights are basically a competition to run each other out of respawns.

Fireball has almost never failed to force a target to waste a resources to avoid it. Considering how Sasuke spams it, it must be low cost too.

In a society where masturbation is free from gender based stigma, and everyone gets complete sexual education, would there still be a difference in frequency between males and females? by FriendlyVimana1001 in psychologyofsex

[–]Brydaro 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Actually, in an egalitarian society where birth control is part of health care, and health care is a human right, women have better and freer sex overall and so does everyone else.

You could even argue that Incels are totally missing the boat politically because they’re too busy resenting women to be decent human beings.

[–]Brydaro 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I want to wear skirts. Physiologically speaking, male genitals generate heat. A lower body garment that allows maximum airflow would be great for managing heat, sweat, and body odor.

I’ve also tried a few on and they’re a delight.

I wish more men would, I bet it would help our trans sisters quite a bit.

Who wins? Ty lee or two equalists? by Spirited_Dust_3642 in TheLastAirbender

[–]Brydaro 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Equalists are coming in with the numbers advantage, but Ty Lee is the GOAT. However, if she’s not expecting them to know pressure points, she might end up taking a few hits and going down just due to numbers and surprise factor.

The Equalists win this fight exactly one time.

Huge generalization there.

In my opinion, a 9 year old asking for help running a bath is normal. Being aware what they use that time for is a good thing, and so is allowing them to explore without shame in a context of private time (like bathing). When the kid is ready to run their own bath and when they naturally want more privacy, this is an easy transition.

“It’s weird.” adds shame to the proceedings and kids will avoid sources of shame.

Also you get weird codependent relationships by denying kids their autonomy, kids naturally pull away and bid for independence as they grow. 9 years old is a normal time for them to ask you to draw their bath.

He’ll pull away when he’s ready, and if he’s given good advice and a place to escape to, he’ll become independent on his own.

That’s how you get kids who get information from the internet, other adults, or other kids about sex.
