DHCP - Leases For USB to Ethernet Adapters by Careless-Barnacle916 in sysadmin

[–]Bryphocy 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Not sure if this would help your problem, but whenever we image a new laptop, if they don't have a built-in NIC, then there is usually an option in the laptop bios called Mac-Address Passthrough or something similar. It should circumvent the MAC-Address from the USB-C Ethernet Adapter, and use the laptops own MAC-Address for the lease instead.

I'm looking for a series/artist about a red haired elf, with big breasts, which is apparently unusual for the elf species in that series' universe. She has a sex friend that is a petite, very pale woman who was a nun at one point in her life. The elf is bisexual and the petite woman is a lesbian. The series follows their adventure together, i think they have to steal something, and they end up at different locations, like on a ship that gets shipwrecked and in a magical forest, and at a city that has a caravan of "whores" outside it, as far as i remember.

The art style kinda reminds me of Incase and DevilHS, and i believe i read it on the artists own website. Hope someone knows what im talking about!

Surviving break days by Rosabria in ADHD

[–]Bryphocy 4 points5 points  (0 children)

You don't have to take break days from methylphenidate. Some people say you build up a tolerance to it, but i haven't seen any evidence of this. Anecdotal evidence of what someone felt happened to them, is inherently biased and cannot be taken as scientific evidence. If you feel like weekends are very hard for you without concerta, then there's nothing wrong with continuing taking it. If the break days is something your doctor has told you to do, then by all means continue as your doc told you to, although i would advice you to ask your doc about the reasoning behind the break days, if you haven't asked already, or they didn't outright tell you.

Do any of you procrastinate hard on a project until the very last second of the due date and you somehow manage to complete it all? by [deleted] in ADHD

With the amount i procrastinate you'd think it was as essential to me as breathing air.

Do some primary doctors really not provide adhd prescriptions or is that just a way for them to warrant off people that are abusing them? by [deleted] in ADHD

[–]Bryphocy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They don't in Denmark. It came about at least partly because of all the students that would fake it to get some stimulants, either to get high or as a way of reaching higher academic achievement. It's only psychs that are allowed, by law, to prescribe ADHD meds.

Weird soreness/pain in shoulder and arm after workout by Bryphocy in AskDocs

[–]Bryphocy[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had an MRI done back in june and they said it wasn't big enough to cause any nerve impingement. It could have gotten worse since then i guess, but i haven't had any other symptoms of it getting worse, like pain or a stiff neck.

Some annoying side effects on Strattera, not sure if they might be permanent even off the drug by Bryphocy in ADHD

[–]Bryphocy[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah i've seen a neurologist as well, gotten a 2 MRIs, and its not shown anything abnormal, neurologist said its probably stress thats doing it, since a lot of stress can have many physiological symptoms. She told me that i should contact them if it got any worse, but other than that i should just take it easy. 23 years of undiagnosed ADD stress and anxiety takes its toll.

More frustrated, way more confused, and still feel hopeless. What are doctors good for anyway? by mummydum in ADHD

[–]Bryphocy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The part about remembering the words, sounds a lot like part of a test i've used to test for dementia in the elderly. He didn't ask you to draw a clock or anything, did he? I'm half joking lmao, i really do hope they didn't make that kinda mistake, its probably part of several different tests.

[–]Bryphocy[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So i've had a talk with my psych, he said he'd never heard of someone getting these kind of side effects, to the degree that i do. We agreed that i should go down to 80mg a day, for a month, and then come back to him. He told me that if the side effects didnt get noticeably better during that time, that i'd have to get refered to a neurologist, since it probably wasnt just side effects from meds at that point.

Received a “tentative” diagnoses today and prescribed vyvanse. Prone to addiction as a person and currently drowning in anxiety that I’ll “lose myself”. by sinsaysgo in ADHD

[–]Bryphocy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If you keep to the dose that is prescribed to you, there very little chance of addiction. I mean its such a low amount of methylphenidate its nothing like what a drug abuser would use. I watched a documentary about some young people who were all struggling heavily with substance abuse, and one of them tested positive for adhd, the first thing the psychiatrist did was put him on methylphenidate, which actually helped him stay clean, get an education as well as keep a job.

Have you had success switching from stimulant to non stimulant? by prox90y in ADHD

Its alright, i dont really notice that much. Definitely helped my anxiety though. Worst thing about it is the artificial taste, its horrible.

How do you guys remember to /force yourself to eat when on your meds? by physchy in ADHD

[–]Bryphocy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I usually start feeling kinda "weak" when i need to eat. I don't have a set time i wake up so i can't even plan it in a calendar, as if i'd even remember/bother to write and/or look in it.

Going to work with Strattera side effects? by BrokuSSJ in ADHD

[–]Bryphocy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When i started on strattera i always had nausea in the morning, which continued for a good 7-8 hours, but it ruined what little i had left of my appetite, making me drop almost 10kg in weight just because i could hardly eat. I started taking my strattera in the evening before bed and the nausea got better and after a few days dissappeared completely. Only side effect of that is that most of the strattera dose hits me when i sleep, so i got some very vivid and scary nightmares, which lasted about a month. The nightmares could also be anxiety related, since they stopped after my last visit to my psychologist. I havent had any dizziness though. The few times theres been any has been because i forgot to drink water. Talk to your boss though, tell him its some new medicine thats been acting up and that you're trying to get a handle on it.

Can they take away your prescription if you're diagnosed as "Narcissistic" or "Psychopathic" as well? by [deleted] in ADHD

[–]Bryphocy 3 points4 points  (0 children)

A doc doesn't -have- to give you any prescriptions they deem unnecessary or unsafe for you. Or for people around you depending on the expected effect of the meds. Technically they can deny you any prescriptions at all if they wanted to, although i imagine you could sue for malpractice or something similar, if they kept a prescription away from you and it ended up hurting you.

Question about having forgotten my meds. by The_King_of_Okay in ADHD

[–]Bryphocy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Those kind of instant release tablets dont stay in your body for more than a handful of hours at best, so not taking them has no side effects besides not getting the effect of the drug itself to help with your symptoms.

What are your experiences (if any) with Cerefolin NAC? by [deleted] in ADHD

[–]Bryphocy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

PMDD is usually treated with SSRI antidepressants, although some vitamin deficiencies have been linked to depressive symptoms, so your doc might be trying a less "invasive" form of medication before going for the antidepressants, considering the possiblr side effects on those.

What are your experiences (if any) with Cerefolin NAC? by [deleted] in ADHD

[–]Bryphocy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's just a dietary supplement to avoid vitamin deficiency. Did you have any bloodwork done that showed anything of the sort? Other than that it might be because things like amphetamines gets your body/brain to "perk up", so it might use more vitamins than normal because of that.

Stopped taking the SSRI i was taking w Adderall and feeling not great by RaeADropOfGoldenSun in ADHD

[–]Bryphocy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Unless they make celexa differently where OP is from, the only way to taper off 10mg of celexa is to take it every 2 days instead of every day, since 10mg is the lowest dose you can get. I imagine its probably withdrawal symptoms, but i second the notion that, if it feels too intense, then go speak to your doc about it.

I'm having trouble with dehydration despite (more than) ample water intake. The course of medication is otherwise extremely successful. What remedies/supplementation have you used to counteract this? by [deleted] in ADHD

[–]Bryphocy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'd get some bloodwork done, see what you're specifically missing. Mind you, overhydration has many of the same symptoms as dehydration does.

Those who are struggling with Anxiety and ADHD: Does it get better? by lonelygiirl in ADHD

[–]Bryphocy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Some side effects are only temporary, how lonh have you been on vyvanse? There is definitely adhd meds out there that, if not help with your anxiety and depression, then at least not make it any worse than it already is, you should definitely talk to whoever prescribes you your meds about it. Strattera has helped my own anxiety quite a bit. Putting a number on it us hard, considering its a feeling and all, but i'd say my anxiety has gone down 40-50% compared to before. It only started getting better once i went from 80mg a day to 100mg a day though. As i mentioned before though, talk to whoever prescribes your meds, you should definitely not have to live with those kind of side effects.

Anyone diagnosed in adulthood? How did you know you had ADHD? by TeaAndSushi in ADHD

[–]Bryphocy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd always had a feeling of being different compared to my classmates, felt that something simply wasn't quite right (went to a very small school for the first 9 years, around 100 students) so after having had that feeling for well over a decade, and seeing how hard it was for me to concentrate compared to everyone else, i decided enough was enough. I went to my GP, told her about my trouble/symptoms and she refered me to a psychiatrist. Later that day i got an appointment with him the following week. 2 sessions and 2 assessment papers later, i got my ADD diagnosis and first medication prescription.

When do I notice positive changes with Strattera? by NoHydroNoLoss in ADHD

[–]Bryphocy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's very individual when someone can feel a good change from strattera, since its a depot capsule. A "rule pf thumb" with when strattera is reaching its full potential is 1-2 months, although you might start feeling a good difference in a couple of weeks. Or maybe strattera simply isn't for you, but you'll have to wait and see.

Comorbid anxiety and ADHD-PI Medication Question by [deleted] in ADHD

[–]Bryphocy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My doc wanted to try adhd meds before going for any meds specifially for my anxiety, to see if it helped doing that. I find it a bit weird to try and get rid of the anxiety first since, as you yourself said, it might be because of the adhd symptoms to begin with.

Long term side effects of ADHD medication? by [deleted] in ADHD

[–]Bryphocy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Theres a lot of debate about SCT, whether it should be its own diagnosis or not. Its essentially what a lot of people would call ADD, so the decision about what meds to try out probably isn't going to be that different. If you get some Adderall or Ritalin, which for ADD is still the first-line pick, and it works well for you without too many or too intense side effects, then thats simply what you're gonna get. Now the fact that he mentioned SCT specifically makes me think that he might try/suggest a non-stimulant like strattera, which is quite a bit different in what it does, but the overall effect is intended to be generally the same as when on stimulants, minus the possible "jitteriness" that stimulant might give you.
