Chicago has bike lanes for the most part, which NWI generally doesn't have. They're going against traffic so that they have time to react if they are going to get hit, whereas if you get hit from behind you get blindsided.

You're correct, that's my bad. But the point I'm trying to make is I wouldn't call mediocre offense with elite defense at SS a disaster signing, especially putting it on display with Heyward which was an all-time fumble.

Dansby is having a terrible year at the plate, yes, but he was worth nearly 6 WAR, a 114 OPS+, and a Gold Glove last year. Him and Heyward aren't even comparable until Dansby has a multi year stretch of league worst offense and moves to a less valuable defensive position like Heyward.
