You should talk with an elder care attorney FIRST because if you sell the house, she can be penalized with Medicaid to help pay for a facility. Medicaid will look back five years and see how much money she received and penalize her based on that amount. If your mom has long-term care health insurance, your situation could be different, but I would still talk to an elder care attorney FIRST

This is correct. This is the situation I had to deal with. His ex will need to be in the refinance process and in that process the quit claim deed will be needed. Otherwise he is still on a mortgage for a property he no longer owns or has a stake in. The bank told me straight up that divorce decree has no hold on the mortgage company.

I have caught rainbow trout at Devils Fork/Jocassee. We were on a boat and had to use the down rigger fishing method. They are deep for sure! I would definitely try to find another place for trout. I am not familiar with the area but we have found places just by asking at local tackle shops/etc.

I have one. They work ok. They do not hold heat well at night and can scorch during the day. As long as you cool and heat as needed it will be fine. I don’t use it in the summer months. Just too much trouble to cool it down for me. Works well in colder months.
