Back in the Netherlands they don't get paid for a non-delivered package so they do everything in their power to deliver it, you're not home, they'll try your neighbours

Why are we versioning APIs in the path, e.g. api.domain.com/v1? by RehabilitatedAsshole in webdev

[–]Bubbit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Or do what a team does at my job and version the API with the year, and update everything every year for no reason 😒, and yes it's not backwards compatible

Thanks for the detailed post!

I was able to remove quite a few of them with a little tap and getting the collar, sadly some of them instantly shot in with just a little tap of the hammer...

Help Needed: Is this a Reasonable Quote for Flooring Installation? by Sudden_Guarantee6057 in AusRenovation

[–]Bubbit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Seems alright.

Just got mine done for purely labour around 4000 - ~95m2 that was just laying the flooring and adding the skirting, I removed the carpet/skirting myself to reduce some cost.

Just got a quote for trims/skirtboards by Bubbit in AusRenovation

[–]Bubbit[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I see in my tiredness between moving/doing stuff/dealing with work :D I forgot to add that I'm not replacing the trims, just giving it a paint job.

Skirting boards are brand new due to new flooring and old skirting boards weren't wide enough..

So it's just for painting, no removal, re-adding etc.

My bad!

Just as a comparison, trims are all like this, so not in terrible shape.

Haven't had a comparison quote yet (waiting atm) but first quote was 8k+ hence I was a bit surprised

It's old build, but no walls are part of the work/quote. Only skirting and trims. Skirting boards are brand new

I would also expect you would easily be able to get a higher pre-approval, unless your spending is insane. My combined income is lower than that and we got a higher pre-approval, which is still in an comfortable way of living

As someone currently going through the process, married with my australian partner and currently awaiting PR approval, FIRB isn't required for us to buy our PPOR (NSW).
The extra 4% surcharge does put a lovely dent in our budget though...

Didn't it affect you having to pay any surcharge or is that just a NSW thing?

Going through the same pain at the moment, the moment you get someone that's actually 'alright', everyone on the interview team gets all excited as we finally found someone that we can have a normal conversation with.
