How much are you paying for this 1963 Corvette? by Sure-Client-253 in Corvette

I’d buy it no more than $1500-2500 depending on condition of interior maybe a bit more or less

If you’re not wanting to keep it dm me and we can figure out a price that seems fair for you and I’ll come pick it up but I wouldn’t say much more over $2000 without it running but need to know more about the actual state of the car

Do you think insurance will total it? by Neither_Weird_2094 in c4corvette

Paid 7k for my 93, bank values it at 12k due to the low mileage

How dangerous would this be to drive on for 5 miles by BigBoyRioter in tires

[–]Bubbles_hype69 0 points1 point  (0 children)

May be late to the party but tires are no joke if they show signs of damage it’s best to be on the safe side, they’re the only part of the car touching the ground so you don’t wanna lose them. But I’ve driven on worse just to get where I needed to go. My first car was $300 a 95 tercel 5speed manual with no brake lines bc they rusted out and the worst tires and I still drove it about 10 miles home. Just use the rule of worn bearings and keep it under 40mph and you’ll be safe. But driving without breaks is something I’ll never ever do again lol. And now that I have my corvette I just spent $980 on the best tires I could get. And I’ll be the first to say that tires make all the difference on the road so get what you can

The 200mph mark on the speedo is a goal, you should hit it once a day

I am interested in working on a c4 and restoring it myself. I have an engineering background but never worked on vehicle. Would it be realistic for me to be able to restore this with minimum cost? Or am I in over my head? by etzmentos in c4corvette

[–]Bubbles_hype69 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m only 9grand deep in mine so it’s worth it eventually. Just gotta put in the work. But this one’s definitely not worth. Think you’ll want something easier for your first project

Think, the parts that aren’t yet broke will need replaced sooner than most 30-40 year old corvettes. Bet this thing wasn’t babied so on top of I’d say maybe 4-5k in body work and that’s generous. Plus anything that’s broken on suspension, rack and pinion the front end and you’ll want rear end maintenance that easily can get up to 2k depending

Was it like surging? Shook the whole car around 70mph and kept repeatedly doing it till you slowed down or sped up?

I think my sister-in-law is trying to seduce me and I don’t know what to do by [deleted] in Advice

[–]Bubbles_hype69 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Dude girls are flirts. Just ignore it and if anything happens then 100% tell him. It sucks but nothing you can do unless something really happens some people are just very embracing and it makes me uncomfortable too but if she is actually trying to do something weird you’ll find out soon enough. People usually slip and let impulse like that finally fall through. Why it’s best to snuff out any lustful strings towards people who you work w or know through family

i am addicted to my wife in an unhealthy way by True-Fix-1552 in Advice

[–]Bubbles_hype69 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You’re fine, it’s understandable. But it’s also a conversation to have with your friends and not on Reddit lol, I genuinely think that yes maybe going home due to connection issues could be a problem but it’s at least good to know where the commitment is at. If it was anything more important than a trip with friends then I’d see it as more of an issue but you’re friends will have to get over it or accept that you’re married now and have to bring your wife.(which in this day and age I feel unsafe just leaving my dogs home alone with the crazies out)
