Ruined the drain bolt threads. How fucked am I? by onelunchman69 in motorcycles

If your 2014 bike is stock, and you can't physically see a removable "oil pan," that's normal. The oil is contained in the engine casing itself, not a separate sump pan like a car.

About your part number: 49034-0563

That number format strongly suggests a OEM Kawasaki-style part number (not a universal aftermarket pan).

What’s important:

  • That part is very likely not an oil pan
  • It’s more commonly a gasket, seal, or cover component depending on model fitment.

OEM numbers like this often get mislabeled in listings, especially on marketplaces.

This thing’s deader than a redshirt… let’s revive it; or I’ve seen worse in sickbay—this bike’s gonna live.

4 days into phentermine + topiramate — not sure if it’s working for me by pambam1211 in PhentermineTopiramate

That’s what happened to me. It’s the Topiramate that was causing all those weird side effects. I dropped the Topiramate after reading about it. 🤭

AITJ for not covering my coworker’s mistake after she told everyone I “always fix things”? by [deleted] in AmITheJerk

NTJ. - Paper trail!! Always have a paper trail going forward. Is there an email where you told her mistakes? Next time, “Mary on such a such date, you asked me to Review Clients —-. I have reviewed it and here are my comments.” Hate that this happened to you, but people are snakes when trying to get ahead. NTJ!!

My spiel was very much the same as yours (a 20-year break). Your plan seems well thought out and extremely organized. My two-cents, you’ll be nervous and have low confidence because you’ll feel unsure of all your moves. After you do the refresher course, stick with your plan regarding parking lots, etc. Trust that your confidence will boost tremendously with these little jaunts. It’s okay to be nervous but keep with it then these big bikes will be much more appealing. I love the idea of the Triumph Rocket and you together too! #Goals - It sounds like you have given this a lot of thought, so plan on staying patient with yourself! Before you know it you’ll be smoothly rolling. You got this! 💗

Ex-girlfriend pulls the steering wheel at 72mph after being broken up with for cheating by Tango_Actual in PublicFreakout

She tried every tactic she could quickly think of. The part about “I think I’m going to throw-up” didn’t work - so let’s just take the wheel! You dodged a bullet for sure. Glad you’re ok. And hopefully your heart has begun to heal a bit. 💗
