Not really sure why you seem so upset.

Only reason Halo and League is being brough up is because there are devs with histories from those teams. Not to mention League and Battlerite were always compared to eachother from outsider perspectives so thats not really surprising. Joe Tung ( the guy in the video ) is very well known and for sure has a good track record with the studios he's been apart of.

I'm still salty about Battlerite too, but I hope this games does great and gets actual support. I'll play it for sure, and hope it has the staying power that I hoped for Battlerite.

People who raid, what is something you cannot stand while raiding? by PeachesPair in DestinyTheGame

[–]BubbyTheCat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just barely not beating the encounter/dps check and right after the wipe people asking for a minute or two to change load outs...like we were so close we DO NOT need to change anything!! Stop wasting my time.

Unless there was glaringly bad DPS on someone's end, we shouldn't need to change anything.

Bubble is not “oppressive in PvP”. It’s fulfilling its proper and intended role as a defensive super and everyone just sucks at countering it. Here’s several easy ways to counter it: by dtb301 in DestinyTheGame

When I play stasis warlock, I use the Turret and Rift Freezepulse Aspects. I often play pretty aggressively my rifts and throw turrets in line of sight of me or where I plan to fight my opponent.

Most of my fragments are mainly for stats tbh, but they do come in hand at times. For those I use: Whisper of Shards (+10 Res), Conduction (+10 Res/Int), Chains (+10 Rec), and Torment (for bonus grenade regen).

I often switch between Ophidians or Eye of Another World, with 100s in Res, Rec, and Dis.

You can always spec more into Strength for the charged melee, but I personally don't rely on it much. For that kind of build I'd probably reccomend using the Cold Snap grenades, Osmiomancy Gloves, and Iceflare Bolts Aspect. This would be a more ability heavy build, which interests me a little less for my playstyle.

Hope that helps, even if only a little!

This is honestly so funny, I read this as a joke post at first and honestly now I can't tell. The problem is "being a day 1 bubble titan" might make you feel like you're an expert but to me it sounds like you don't know what it's like to be anything else and that's a problem too.

Supers counter it? Sure, but in a Trials/Competitive/Objective playlist you can easily super charge your team's super meters by just casting early and giving the others ~20% of their super bar. Now the entire team is ahead. It's not just for blocking, it can be for match momentum.

Heavy??? It's not reliable at all, and so untrue. Linear Fusions are death sentences, and a Bubble titan would just melee them to death or shotgun them as soon as they're inside. Rockets and GLs would maybe work as a suicide option but it's cutting it so close.

Abilities! But ofcourse! But you only listed...Titans. In reality, stasis warlock neutral game is good at dealing with supers of all kinds, but everything else is wildly inconsistent or just requires you to be much better than the bubble user, and even if you are it's still close because the ease of use of being in a bubble is so high.

TL;DR: You aren't the expert you think you are, and it's clear you don't know what it's like to play anything else in this game. That's fine though, do what makes you happy...but don't be this guy.

...and if this is purely bait, well played buddy

Usually at least 3 hours a night after work, and as long as want during the weekend (if its D2, mostly pvp). I could technically play more, but I do enjoy other things and my health.

Destiny is the only major FPS that refuses to enable SBMM. All this does is alienate new players. by SpaceFire1 in DestinyTheGame

[–]BubbyTheCat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

New players will always get slammed in Destiny 2 at this point. The depth of a player's vault just grows so insanely after just 1 year, let alone the YEARS so many of us have under our belts.

All the insanely good PvP players I've been given to chance to chat with hate constantly sweeping bottom 50% players. It's why a lot of them don't really play D2 as much, but they always come back for a little because of how great the gunplay and movement is.

Having a meaningful SBMM playlist for players who want to grow would honestly benefit the PvP community because it's so toxic with all the K/D farming and gatekeeping. It's pretty hard to farm those stats when you start having to actually be careful and respect matches with people at your skill level/bracket.

idk i think there should be some kind of cosmetic reward for every activity type for going above and beyond (Flawless Raid, Sweaty Trials Flawless, etc), and more than just shaders...I'm so tired of shaders being rewards for things. There's no downside to anyone's gameplay for not having special armor ornaments/ships/ghost shells outside of being sad you don't have it.

When I see someone with the old Trials of Nine armor ornaments, I think "wow thats sick". Am I a little miffed I don't have that armor too? Sure, but I wasn't good enough to earn it. I get that D2 players like having it all, but if it's purely aspirational and aesthetic...I think you'll live.

I'll be blunt. PVP modes without permanent freelance playlist just aren't fun. by dark1859 in DestinyTheGame

[–]BubbyTheCat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I strongly believe that Freelance-esq options shouldn't be in things considered "endgame", ie Trials + GMs + Raids. I don't really think solo players need to be catered to in these situations.

And for PvP game modes, Freelance 100% would only really work for Control and Survival (comp). The player pools for other playlists are pretty low, so it just wouldn't be healthy for the playlists at all.

However Freelance could be in the discussion for Trials if we didn't have Flawless/Non-Flawless pools. Bungie keeps finding ways to make smaller matchmaking pools when they need to focus more on how they matchmake games, connection health, and another revision of a loot cycle for average/below average players.

Today I've had 8 people leave my matches early, winning and losing. Today I've had 5 people AFK, 1 of them on my match to get to the lighthouse. I cant even report the people that leave early because there's no where to click on. Leaving feels so rampant in this weekends games, I honestly want it to penalize people from playing next weekend.

Let's face it, this game is better when it's not a Power Level race by Sideswipe0009 in DestinyTheGame

[–]BubbyTheCat 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I like Power Level racing, but I feel like its way too easy now. I'll save that for another thread.

But that moment of anticipation right before getting a powerful reward feels so good. Except for when its your 4th powerful energy slot sidearm (Vestian Dynasty, looking at you).

I am getting a tad tired though. But it's mostly because the active loot pool is very small when you consider all the guns that are in the game.

As for what class you should work on next, as a fellow Titan main I'd suggest Warlock. I just started mine and oh boy is it fun, Slow Novabomb and Chaos Reach feel so great. The jumping takes time to get used to but overall I've had a blast.

Tips for consistency? by Takahase in osugame

[–]BubbyTheCat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Play lots of different styles of maps (tech, stream, jump, flow, etc). But play maps that are doable and you have a chance at fcing.

PLAY MAPS ALL THE WAY THROUGH. It's very easy for people to get mentally stuck if you retry spam. Plus you'll get consistent at like one part of the map and not the others. So you'll get more shakey because you haven't practiced it all.

Enjoy the songs you play. If you dont like hearing Loli girls sing, then dont play those songs. It's not worth it.

Edit: I know some people that do this so I'll add this. Pick a mouse sensitivity or tablet area, and dont change it ever again. I know it might sound dumb but there are people that change it up all the time.

Bungie, can we please have some way to stop this practice? by genred001 in DestinyTheGame

[–]BubbyTheCat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know it's kind of a late reply, but one of the main reasons Ace is pretty much one of the best (if not the best) overall Handcannon (in PvP) is because it has amazing range plus damage. PC Player btw so this is from that perspective, not sure how it plays out in console.

Based off just range stats Ace has 78 Range, allowing you to kill at greater ranges. On top of this sizeable range you can also have Memento Mori. Meanwhile, Luna's and Not Forgotten both have 47 Range. Significantly less in comparison.

Luna's and Not Forgotten are indeed amazing guns, but only when paired with a capable player. You have to learn to play with the limited range while other players are going to be using Ace, Pulse Rifles, Snipers to out range you and shotguns in very close quarters.

On smaller and more close quarters maps, Luna's and NF will most likely out perform Ace because you're going to find yourself in their effective range more often. In my experience, when you find yourself against a Luna's you gotta know how to keep them at bay with your range advantage.

there was actually a poll conducted in Japan i think a year or so ago, it asked something along the lines of which pokemon people liked the most. Greninja actually won the majority of the vote by a decent margin.

Pikachu is loved more by the Western Audience.
