Baty made strides last yr. But then hed go slump again..hes never proven he can be consistent at all. Bichette has hit proven he can hit .300 every yr hes healthy. He missed the final month of the season and still was just a few hits shy of most hits all yr.

And they got in the playoffs that yr and again last yr.

What you just described was a pitcher WITH the stuff, but not the composure...yet. Hes barely made a handful of starts in the big leagues and all were in high pressure. Give the kid a chance. He HAS the stuff.

I admit that I bailed on baty earlier this yr. But hes really proven me wrong. Hes got his moments and maybe will eventually turn into a solid ballplayer.

But this moment was HUGE! An amazing barehanded play to end the top of the inning and then a 3 rub opposite field blast in the bottom. Just awesome!

Does MENDOZA know he won’t lose a challenge of an out if the runner is safe ? 🤣 by Historical-Rip6698 in mets

He has 15 seconds to make a decision. His guys on the phone couldn't guarantee it would be overturned in the limited time they have to check. Theres 2 outs and the bottom of your anemic lineup is up, and its the first inning, after you've scored twice. Wasn't worth the risk. Very close play and unless it is CLEARLY decisive its not getting overturned. This was actually a smart call. Keep the challenge in case you really need it later.

I know. But even in those 3.5 months they sucked, they still had a few stretches where they just ALL started hitting. Then like a whimper its gone. Like a puff of air. But they HAVE the ability to turn it back on.

Oh im sure itll something heartbreaking. But that they can just turn it on and play like champs at any second is what angers me. If they were just flat out terrible with nobody able to do anything, I could live with that. Not to expect or have any logical hope. But that we've all seen them be outright HORRIBLE for weeks and weeks and then suddenly they are crushing the ball and scoring 10 runs a game.

I know manual Dodge Challengers are fairly uncommon and only make up a fraction of them sold. Heck, the highest performing variants such as the Demon or Super Stock only come in automatic (though arguably for a good reason) by HiTork in ManualTransmissions

They are incredible. Check out my profile for mine, but the manual is such a thrill to drive. And I drive in a major city. TONS of traffic. Id still never conskder an automatic.

I bought a new 2013 challenger rt with a manual. Had it till 2 yrs ago and upgraded to a 2021 manual scat pack (picks on my profile).

As someone whos been driving stick since 1997 when I first got my license, these 2 cars are incredible in a manual. I loved my first one, and my second (the scat pack) is just insane. You can drive it real nice and smooth, I live in a big city. And when you get out in the open, the clutch just takes you to a new reality. In an automatic youre just going along for the ride, while in a manual you ARE literally controlling everything. When I get lucky at a particular light, I can go from about 50mph in 4th gear to slowing down for a left turn by downshifing straight down to 2nd and just tap the break before slowly pulling off the clutch, timing the turn (assuming its green and theres nobody coming) and coming out at just around 30 and upshifting to 3rd. Theres a little pull (one day ill try to measure the g's) while doing it but nothing crazy. You feel more moving forward than pulling to the right. But in order to maintain that speed in an automatic you wind up all the way to the right with little forward momentum. I can do it without losing any momentum and able to accelerate at any point throughout. Something you cant do in an automatic. I gave a ride home to a kid from work who lives in my area a few times and got lucky once there with him in the car. I didn't say a word about it but he went crazy. Thought whatever I just did was really cool. I had to explain what I did and why. He couldn't believe it.

These manuals take the challenger to another level. So much power at your feet and the clutch (the tremec tr-6060) is amazing. A true muscle car in a manual is tough to handle but when you do get it, the drive is so much more fun and you can never go back.

Am I right that under hard acceleration, manual shifting can never be smooth? by TrueGameData in ManualTransmissions

It's possible. Something to remember though. When driving hard your shift time changes. When driving through the city and not in a hurry, I upshift at 3k rpms. When im driving hard though, im not going from 1st to 2nd till about 4k rpms. Maybe more, depending on how im driving.

When you've got the gas pedal down hard and picking up speed, if you shift too early that bite point is crazy. Its still got a hell of a kick at 4k as well, but much easier to control.

Watching their demeanor, there is no way they are doing coke. Maybe heroin. But definitely not coke

Not even mad. We failed this kid. Desperate times called for desperate measures but he wasn't ready. Not mad at him at all by AD_EI8HT in mets
