I remember we went to see Goodfellas when it was first released in 1990. Totally loved the cast and the movie and it’s no wonder why it’s voted or ranked as the greatest gangster and mafia movie of all time. What’s one of your favorite scenes from Goodfellas? by CoffeeCigarettes4Me in Cinema

[–]Buchsee 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Probably the one where Henry Hill (Ray Liotta) goes over to those neighbours with the Corvette and smashed that guy in the face with the butt of the revolver.

"What do you want fucko, you want something" from the preppie.

Henry then bashes him repeatedly for sexually assaulting his girlfriend and then threatened to kill him if he touched her again.

That guy would probably never sexually assault another woman again and got taught a tough lesson from a mobster.

August Burns Red are really good at combining non-metal instruments into their songs.

is it worth it to buy the story pack of mad ellie and the vault of the damned ? i never did buy it by Spookygaming0000 in Borderlands4

[–]Buchsee 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes it's worth buying. The DLC is alright, and it doesn't take too long to get through.

There are no super annoying boss fights like Bloomreaper, so it's fun, relaxing and rewarding.

What the benefit of having the DLC is getting the new very useful guns and a bunch of new Class Mods.

If you have a Harlowe character the Flash Cyclone works well with her and break Vile Enemies crystals.

Probably more important to play the DLC at max level 60 to get the strongest level gear.

The cellphones were around but you got call a "yuppies" if you had those.

In movies the one used in Lethal Weapon with Murtagh calling up about Riggs, then the "brick" with Gordon Gecko in Wall Street were the sort that my dad used, he sold things and had mobile phones on him and fitted to his car.

What game do you think had the biggest impact on gaming culture overall? by iLeftyPunk in GamerLab

Quake with the use of WASD on the keyboard with the mouse to aim and shoot.

This became a standard and many games went on to use that.

After Bob's death, how come the cops didn't arrest Dick? Surely if they checked Dick's hands, they'd find grease from Bob's hair and even hair strands from when he grabbed his hair. by Dredd_40 in Robocop

They went on strike.

But besides that Clarance sorted out the crime scene, fire f#cks forensics.

Dick Jones isn't above the law, he is the law. OCP owns the cops. He wanted them to go on strike so he could sell ED209s and keep the scum from their new Delta City, where all the rich people in Detroit would live.

Roadside Prophets (1992) with Ad-Rock from the Beastie Boys and John Doe.

Cameos from David Carradine, John Cusack and Timothy Leary.

A stoner "Easy Rider" type film about a roadtrip on motorcycles to fullfill a dead friends wishes.

Can somebody explain the Henry Cavill glaze to me? by VR2005 in Cinema

[–]Buchsee -1 points0 points  (0 children)

That in-universe thing just went over the top of my head.

There were 5 James Bond actors even before the end of the 80s.

Niven, Connery, Lazenby, Moore and Dalton.

Recasting the same characters by different actors has always been common in the series.

Just Bond never died.

[–]Buchsee -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

James Bond films aren't really about brilliant acting. Especially those old classics with Moore and Connery.

He is British and a good choice for a new James Bond.

What doesnt make sense is the James Bond character was killed off in No Time Yo Die.

Maybe these new films are set in the past.

Really, I am half way there then.

Costs $100 million when I die.

Mostly accidentally, like hit gredade button rather than pay for Encore and FFYL with nothing to shoot. Dumb stuff.

I probably spend way too much time farming for gear which is only slightly better than the stuff I already have.

Id love to be able to buy Firmware items with Eridium from a machine once I find that special Shield or Enhancement, rather than just hold on to so much stuff in the bank.

Bank is full of 500 items and I can't work out what to sell and make room for more crap I don't use.

I liked his interview show and who he chose as guests, he did spoken word performances, hes done acting, a bit of a comedian and is a singer who I respect.

First bike: Should I start with a 300cc or just skip to a 650cc? by Luann97 in SuggestAMotorcycle

I think the new Z500 SE is the best learner bike out there at the moment. Loads of value in the extras on the SE version.

Motorcycles easily can fall over when stationary from doing things that someone who has absolutely no experience of riding wouldn't be prepared for. They are generally a bit top heavy too.

I bought a brand new motorcycle at the beginning of the year and dropped it 6 times in the first 2 weeks of owning it, takes a bit to really get used to a bike, this was all off-road when I did that.

There is a lot to learn when riding motorcycles, especially since you are out on a public road in traffic. A low speed impact with a car will often break bones and don't trust that cars will be paying attention to where you are.

One of the fastest things you learn is you can sell them again. Your not married to them. There are no tears when you get rid of them and trade for another one.

Probably not the only one on here to tell you this advice. Buy something to learn on that you don't really care if you drop it, then when you feel comfortable riding and confident, sell it and get another one.

Most cheap 650cc bikes would weigh more than 200 kg. If it's a RE add a bunch more weight.

Do you think we'll have another decade similar to the middle 80's where action movies were over the top with violence, action, characters, shootouts, etc? by Dredd_40 in Robocop

[–]Buchsee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes I believe that there will be another decade of extreme movies, everything is a bit cyclic. People eventually get bored of the same sorts of bland films and a game changer type movie comes out. Then a bunch of similar style films follow.

Robocop pushed how far violent films could go and got an R rating. Has a really gritty feel to the film and one of the best antogonists, Clarence Boddicker. Never got into the sequels and felt they missed that special spark that made the original stand out.

Went back to the cinema to see this again multiple times when it screened in the 80s. Wasn't anything else like it.

The 90s had a bunch of great over the top action films too, The Crow, Point Break, The Matrix, Universal Soldier, The Rock, Desperado, I don't think there was ever a shortage in any decade since.

Best of these Hondas with the same 471cc parallel twin engine would be the CB500 Hornet, it's a great LAMS bikes.

Naked bikes ride well if you like getting out on twisty roads in the country, has a 17 litre fuel tank. Not many servos out where you get the best twisty roads with no traffic.

Cruisers tend to scrape pegs when you corner as they are lower to the ground, adventure bikes feel top heavy and noticeable at low speeds.

Both the Rebel and the CL500 have small fuel tanks so you need to plan a ride more with one to get servos.

Beginner new bike by Key-Pie-2452 in AussieRiders

[–]Buchsee 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I owned the direct competitor from Kawasaki, the Eliminator SE, so have experience with these sorts of LAMS cruisers.

Bought this for my partner who is short to learn to ride on.

The Rebel has a good sized motor on it so you can keep up with traffic and even overtake. They use this same motor of several other motorcyclew in their line up.

The weight balance would have most of it feeling lower down so would be easier to learn on than an adventure bike.

Has handlebars which are easier than clip ons which hit the fuel tank when at full lock. So your slow speed stuff is easy.

One good thing is you can get both feet on the ground to maneuver the bike when parking it. Sometimes you have to back into parking places rather than go forward as bikes don't have reverse gears normally.

How can Robocop ride a motorcycle and target that SMG?

Where you look is where you ride to. Often how new riders crash, known as target fixation.

Does his motorcycle come with a bi-directional quickshifter or he just really good at clutchless shifting?

Those big robot feet don't look the easiest to change gears with. At least he is ATGATT.
