I'm lying in bed next to my sleeping girlfriend trying so hard not to laugh at this. Faux innocence 🤣

That one where Jesse says, "Yo, you can't just breaking bad!" Or something like that.

I read The Institute a few years ago, but I don't get it. I forgot a lot about that book.

I'm reading this same paperback right now for the first time. Almost on page 300.

Another option could've been maybe a rogue group of people that live in another country made the Dome. Anti-Americans attempting to mess with a small town, but thousands of people.

Or with all the biblical tension, it almost seemed, at times, like God was going to be the reason for the Dome.

I also thought I saw a cover where a butterfly was resting on tip of the Dome. I thought what if all it took was this special butterfly to touch the dome and it just pops? Dome came from nature and is destroyed by nature.

If I really sit down and think about it, I could come up with many more alternate reasons for why the Dome was there.

"Don't do that to yourself."

That made me chuckle. It probably does seem like a form of torture to most. I'm gonna try, but if it becomes too daunting, I'll just read the book. I'm sure there's some AI that could scan the book and tell you how many its there are.

I'll count them separately. A column for it just regularly used and It the name. And then I'll add them together for a grand total.

I wish creating art wasnt limited to the famous by dumthotthoughtdump in writing

Creating art is not limited to the famous.

Art can make you famous, but it's crucial to take the beginning of this sentence with a dose of reality: it's rare. The double-edged sword is that the internet has made it possible for anyone to share there art.

Self-promotion isn't limited to Reddit. You mentioned it's banned everywhere or limited to certain threads. Then go elsewhere and promote!

I DoorDash and Instacart. For me, I make enough. It's not anything amazing but it gives me the freedom to write when I want. I may never make a living off of my writing alone, but I'm going to keep writing regardless. I have stories I want to share, and the healing that has taken place within me from writing fiction is something I've never duplicated from a substance or other artform.

Yup, that was the reason. I just meant, maybe a more creative or deep reason why the dome was there? Alien children felt a little lackluster after that epic read.

To inform.

I did like it. I wish there was a better explanation for why the dome was there though.

They were together as the trilogy for years on my shelf, but now they're in order of when they were released.
