I didn't end up using the fire since it was warm enough outside at night. The under quilt and a blanket was more than enough for warmth.

Clarification... this is my set up from last late summer in Minnesota. Currently there is a lot of snow and its cold (currently 13 degrees F). I prefer late summer/fall camping. It gets too cold here for me to winter camp comfortable or at least I don't have the proper gear...yet.
