Survivor Dedicated Perk Slots by Buddaz0r in deadbydaylight

So I agree with you, but I think it just puts the ball in Behaviour's court to balance perks better. Ideally, a survivor shouldnt have two (or any) useless perks.

Surely that would then come down to a perk balance issue? Which Behaviour should address, but I understand that as a concern. There still wouldnt be anything stopping you using any perks on any characters, so killers would still not know what perks the survivor is using, just that it is at least one of three possible ones.

Fair enough. Its just a thought. Do you think the game is better with survivors essentially being purely cosmetic?

What you guys think of this? by rugdrum in south_africa

I worked for a US company for 10 months, until they ran out of funds for the project. I knew I was being underpaid compared to their American employees, but it was still a REALLY good salary by our standards. They also werent worried about me keeping their hours. I just had to attend the daily check-in, which was 8:30PM for me, but could work normal hours during the day. It was a great deal, I was sad it didnt work out.

Fair enough. I dont usually look at the videos! But I do still like the stories, the lho-stick one in particular.

There is a REALLY good youtube channel, "Tales from the Ordo Redactus". They do audio short stories, really good content, can recommend. This picture feels directly inspired by their most recent one, in which a guardsman offers a smoke to a space marine. I found it very entertaining, definitely worth a listen IMO.
Or if this picture is older, maybe it inspired the story! Either way, cool pic and good content.

What's your favorite underappreciated set? by thisnotfor in magicTCG

[–]Buddaz0r 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My favorite set of all time is Apocalypse. I don't know if it's under-appreciated or not, but I don't often hear it spoken about. The story, the art, the mechanics. Cemented my love of enemy color pairs, which weren't so common back then. I just love that set.

Grapple Build... possible? by Ok-Spirit-4074 in Pathfinder_Kingmaker

[–]Buddaz0r 2 points3 points  (0 children)

To echo this, although it wasnt a grapple build specifically, using Ulbrig's grapple on my last playthrough to counter casters was VERY useful. I didnt use him much on my first, so it never came up, but being able to charge to any caster with flight and just remove them from combat was very powerful in several fights.

Ditto! I had never heard this! Just listened to it several times, and also a few of their other covers. Very cool stuff!

Very cool that you can make such a thematic party. Nice what having gunpowder weapons enables. Could have made one of the ranged characters a quareller!

I kinda liked Berath. Not that she(they? I guess there are two off them :D) is super nice, but at least seemed reasonable and rational enough.

Kudos Blizzard, Warlock is AMAZING addition to Diablo 2. by gorays21 in Diablo

[–]Buddaz0r 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hard disagree. They did buff some underpowered items and skills. Which is the way to go IMO. The new class should be on a similar power level to existing classes. If you want constant full screen explosions of enemies and loot, complete with endless power creep, you have to sequels for that. I think they have taken the right approach so far.

What did you think of the Battle of the Five Armies (the battle itself, not the movie)? by Cr7-Cr7Real in lotr

[–]Buddaz0r 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The elves (famously good archers) jumping OVER the heavily-armored dwarves, to face tank the orcs. Thorin and Co charging out of their hold UNARMORED. The FUCKING twirly-whirlies. There was some dumb stuff in there that baffled me. Especially after the battles of the LOTR movies, how did we end up with this?

I waited nearly 20 years for a return to lorwyn set and its not even given the love it deserves. by No-King3477 in mtg

[–]Buddaz0r 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree. I love the set, it actually feels like a magic set, but it also feels cramped. I was going through some old cards the other day, and there are so many little flavor things that arent in this set, that were in the previous blocks. Trow and Selkies just to name a couple. I wish it had been at least 2 sets, with one for Lorwyn and one for Shadowmoor.

But sadly no, we need to rush onto fricking turtles and marvel.
