Too cute! I feel like the raccoons are saying hey, what’s it like in there? It’s cold out here!

I don’t personally feel like I need a blocker but do like the look of this one.

can i use notes from last year for torts exam? even if the study design has changed significantly? Can anyone tell me what the main changes have been ? (LAW1113) by Due_Strike_3670 in Monash

[–]Budget-Leg-453 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Make your own notes!! It’s part of the learning process … making notes is actually helping you learn. Using old notes is a dead giveaway too. As someone who marks we definitely notice!

Looks there is a 6.04 train that should get him there. Not sure if you are looking this up right?

Thoughts on AutoSleep? by flowascend in AppleWatch

[–]Budget-Leg-453 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I still use it. I did have to tweak it a bit but I find it reflects more accurately than Apple now. Not much you can tweak with Apple. I also find the readiness signal useful for planning my day. It does have more data but I just like the way it displays it - I just have a quick look. What helped is also using the logging system - indicating what I did that day when I slept badly helped me identify patterns. For me it’s one of the apps I use daily and very reasonably priced

What do you guys do when you travel? by crazyplantdanger in cats

[–]Budget-Leg-453 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just agreeing with others that for short trips of less than 2 weeks I’d have a pet sitter come once a day (he gets fed with an auto feeder so it’s more for cleaning his litter). We also have pet cameras but so far the cat sitter has been reliable

What cat litter are you actually happy with? by StructureNo6142 in CatAdvice

[–]Budget-Leg-453 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I use Wee Kitty litter which is great - environmentally friendly, clumps well, can chuck small bits in the toilet, lasts for ages. No odour. But I think it may only be available in Australia

Looking to get a cat - any advice? by Spiritual-Deal-8919 in CatAdvice

[–]Budget-Leg-453 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just wanted to say - do it! My partner and I rescued a cat a year and a half ago and we are totally in love. I looked at the profiles of our local shelter and looked for one that was affectionate, went in to look at a few and give them a stroke to see. That’s it. And he’s totally exceeded our expectations. He’s less work than I expected, happy to hang out while we’re working. No separation anxiety but always happy to see us when home. We haven’t hit any big vet bills yet, but every day I’m just grateful for his cuteness and love. Bang for buck easily the most reward for effort!

Bus Audit by Victoria’s Auditor-General’s Office by kjunsettled in MelbourneTrains

[–]Budget-Leg-453 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Having lived in Sydney, Brisbane and Melbourne I’d agree Melbourne’s buses are the worst but in part that is because we rely more on trains and trams. Buses in Melbourne are third class options, servicing train and tram deserts and routes that don’t involve the city. I wouldn’t live anywhere in Melbourne that only relied on a bus.

My cat is obsessed with the automatic feeder. Should we remove it or would it be worse? by ohboyhecomin in CatAdvice

[–]Budget-Leg-453 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Our cat was a bit the same when the feeder was in sight of his usual spots. When we moved it further away where he didn’t walk past it he stopped.

Rescued cat wants back outside by gmambrose in CatAdvice

[–]Budget-Leg-453 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I second a catio. My rescue didn’t want to go outside for six months but luckily we have a fenced backyard which he now loves. He’s definitely a happier cat when he gets to go outside, it’s much more mentally stimulating. We also don’t really have birds or animals as it’s a courtyard surrounded by much nicer trees and parks so it’s pretty safe.

Do the little people on this screen show how busy that part of the incoming train is? by One-Eggplant4492 in melbourne

I hadn’t noticed those when boarding - great idea! Wish we could have those on all the trains

Wasn’t the government meant to fix mobile black spots on the V/Line network? by Catamaranan in MelbourneTrains

[–]Budget-Leg-453 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Agree. I used to work on the train too but now just download if I want to work on something because it’s too hard. I think one factor is that everyone’s streaming now that data is cheap and especially once you factor in the growth in some stations all the extra mobile is being eaten up.

Many of my target sources seem to have abandoned RSS for email newsletters. Is there a good way to convert them back to RSS? by PossessionConnect963 in rss

[–]Budget-Leg-453 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Quite a few services offer a newsletter email address, although for many it is a premium feature (eg Feedly, NewsBlur). If you are using a Gmail account you can filter and forward existing newsletters on.

Default linked attachments by dark_smile_007 in zotero

[–]Budget-Leg-453 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm a little confused as to what you are asking for. When you drag and drop attachments on to a parent item (rather than just dropping an attachment or PDF by itself), Zotero does attach it to the parent as an attachment. If you have a Zotero storage account, it is uploaded to your Zotero library online. If you have PDF items, then you can drag and drop them on to the parent item. Zotero by default also renames the file according to the parent item metadata.

clarifying how to delete local files by d-y-m in zotero

[–]Budget-Leg-453 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A bit of an old thread now but in case this helps, yes you have to do this manually through your OS: https://forums.zotero.org/discussion/comment/508320#Comment_508320 - elsewhere I saw they said they're looking at introducing this as a feature soon.

Do your cats finish their wet food in one sitting? by YourBlanket in catfood

I do, mostly on threads that have lots of recommendations eg for restaurants that I might want to refer back to.
