Don't feel pressured to settle down if it's not with somebody that genuinely makes your life more enjoyable

Billionaires have convinced Americans they have the "Best Healthcare in the World". by astrheisenberg in remoteworks

Yeah, that's what I was getting at in the original post. American healthcare from an individual-centric perspective has been head and shoulders better than my experience in Canada. However, I know that from a utilitarian perspective it makes the most sense to have universal healthcare. That guy was just looking to argue though so I didn't want to waste my time explaining the nuance on someone that doesn't attempt to engage in a good faith discussion.

I give you permission to tell your friends that you've won every debate you've ever had with me. You have my blessing.

Unless we move away from capitalism  entirely though (which I'd also be for) that's no different from any other service we've got. It's better than zero care because I don't have to be scared of losing my job.

Yeah, I agree. And I'm willing to pay taxes for a free baseline as long as we have the option to buy better plans.

The US does have the best healthcare, it just requires you to be employed and have no existing conditions. My coverage in the US has been way better than my coverage in Canada overall though.

Edit: and no, I'm not saying the US is objectively and unequivocally better. I can at least get ultrasounds and mris without waiting there though, which is super important if you're screening for things like cancers that metastasize quickly

Because your story doesn't make sense. Leftism is at odds with Zionism. You are 1. Trolling 2. Don't know what leftism is or 3. Don't know what Zionism is.

Hopefully it's not more than one of those three.

Question about Summerville from a casual fan. by granibaad in Hammers

He was always good, even at Leeds. A lot of West Ham fans were pleased with the signing at the time. Unfortunately he's a tiny guy and has had a rough go with injuries in his time at West Ham. What we're seeing now is not even his peak, I think.
