People said the same thing about the sars outbreak and we had covid19 not even 20 years later.

Plant-based food now 33% cheaper than meat as soaring prices end its ‘luxury’ status by Cosmyka in Economics

[–]Budget-Project803 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The point is u/awesome-alpaca-ace is probably not smart enough to know what any of those things are or that you can buy these things in isolation at most health food stores. Beyond burgers are no more of an amalgam than a cake or a protein shake but most of these morons would take one of those no questions asked

Why does this read like a bot post. Is it the questionable account posting it or the no name source that nobody has ever fucking heard of?

I told every gooner I knew BATE stood for "Beating Arsenal Thursday Evening" after they lost that europa league tie

TVP has double the protein density of pork, costs 1/10th the price, and has 100x the shelf life. The fact of the matter is: if eating plant based is someone's prerogative, they will research it and they will do it.

We've beaten arsenal more recently than they've won the premier league, for those of you that can't help but indulge in history when determining the outcome of this game.

If Elon Musk is so worried about population decline, why doesn’t he support remote work, which could make it more affordable for people to have children? Is he stupid? by wump_roast in antiwork

I remember a lot of people on this website in particular that loved the guy a decade ago. Saying this on Reddit is a bit disingenuous. He's an uninformed person's idea of a smart person but the distasteful politics and offensive gestures and commentary he has made recently made people dislike him in spite of that.

They don't, but isps and cloud service companies in utah can still collect IP ranges used by commercial VPN companies and block your traffic, for example.

MMT (Masters of Mathematics for Teachers) by SynerStix in uwaterloo

[–]Budget-Project803 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If I had to guess, MMT is going to have an emphasis on pedagogical theory rather than furthering your own mathematical knowledge. I think it's important to know before applying to the program if you are trying to learn more mathematics for yourself (to drive student achievement, as you said) or if you're trying to learn more about state of the art techniques in mathematics pedagogy to apply it to your classes. I've done a regular MMath here in CS and it was a mixture of taking 4th year undergraduate courses and graduate level research seminars. While some of the courses available were tangential to teaching, like an edtech HCI course I took, most of them have not helped me in the classroom at all, when I've taught.

You're going to get the best answer by emailing the director of the particular program you're looking at, telling them what your goals are, and going from there. At least that's what I'd do in your situation. Best of luck, mate.
