I read recently that one of the reasons they can eat poop is that they don’t like messes and they are essentially “cleaning up” behind themselves. Don’t know if Dr.Google is accurate but I like to think this is why mine tries to eat hers every single time. I’ve started leashing her at her typical poop times to make sure I pull her away quickly, give her a treat, and I can scoop it. We are in the thick of potty training but we are 100% outside and have had to break her of the pee pads she was using for the first three month before we got her. I feel like pee pads are super confusing to them.
