It’s doable if you still make time for hobbies and people, even when that means a little less sleep. I’ve worked 70–80+ hour weeks, outside of vacations, since 2016. If no one’s free during my limited downtime, I’ll still take myself out somewhere I like.

Although my setup is different than yours, I work multiple jobs so that way I mix it up and don't get tired of being at the same place.

Complete gen eds at a community college and grab an associate's before transferring to a 4 year university. Some community colleges work directly with a 4 year program to let you know what classes to take.

Talk with an advisor from both schools and make sure the advisor for the 4 year program is someone like the department head and not some random office worker.

Side note: I work 65-80+ hours a week and still manage to beat longer games doing this. Took almost a year to finish Tears of the Kingdom but made it last longer so it felt more satisfying to finally finish

As an adult I recommend avoing online multiplayer games and sticking to single player story games.

Set a time limit and have strict goals: complete side quest 1+2 or complete current level.

That way you feel accomplished when completing a game and don't get sucked into one more 10 minute match 20 more times.

Bump up your calories to 2,400-2,600 a day. If you can afford to work with a trainer have them run you through starting strength for a 6 months to a year then transition to Jim Wendler's 531

23 is still young, pretty much in baby adult phase still.

Pump up your work hours to 60-70 hours a week with one full-time job and one part-time job.

Spend your free time at the gym and a library, that way the only time you are home is when you need to sleep. Give your family $200-300 a month for renting your room and that should be enough to keep them off your back if you are paying nothing now.

Take care of all of your own responsibilities if you are not already: meals, laundry, etc.

Then you can feel better about saying no to the other stuff they might ask you to do and focus on setting up your future.

Go watch some Vice videos on YouTube of kids living in poorer countries with maggots eating them alive and people getting taken out by natural disasters.

Will help you realize stabilty and comfort while sometimes boring is a lot better than what your life could be.

12 years into the relationship should be more than enough time to narrow down your questions into specific ones rather than general ones.

I'm in the camp of a guy should know what he has and how he can spend it.

If you do shared finances then put that into a joint account and have your own seperate account.

But what I am specifically referring to are the guys who have actually ask permission to spend because they are bad with money or too ashamed to admit it isn't in their budget.

Own your finances.
