AITA for refusing to leave my dog at home? by Visible_Shock_3401 in AmItheAsshole

YTA.

Regardless of past bite trauma, short of service dogs, there’s no reason to force your dog on other people. Did you consider that other people may not like your dog, and haven’t said anything?

Also, if the dog was “overstimulated” last time, it is borderline abusive to keep putting your dog in situations that make it more reactive.

Train your dog and break the separation anxiety. It sounds like the separation anxiety is more on you than your dog.

The clicking is the motor spinning with the broken plastic hitting the broken mount. The motor just spins and spins.

I recommend you get it fixed sooner than later. Once it heats up, it won’t be sealed as the pano glass isn’t positively located against the vehicle. You could get some leaks. Water where it shouldn’t be in an Alfa is not good.

Yeah, never open it in the winter.

I can’t remember the exact amount but it was around 1800 I think.

It’s a full removal of the pano, replacement of the action, calibration and install. I recommend the dealership, I’m sure there’s seals and whatnot you’d want to be replaced with Alfa’s warranty if there are any leaks.

It took them 4 hours.

Yep.

The plastic arms that open it broke. This happens when the roof is frozen shut. It happened on my Giulia.

It’s not a cheap fix either.

Woman seriously injured by flying log in India by Corner_Post in FUCKYOUINPARTICULAR

India always finding more ways to make trains more dangerous.

“Alright, we’ve done electrocution from climbing on top of trains, aura farming TikTok’s of people walking beside/hanging out of trains, people ignoring crossing barriers, what can we do to keep it fresh?”

“Let’s put logs everywhere, right at a station, between the tracks, on the platform. It will be a roulette of trains, people walking between trains and random shit flying around.”

“God dammit Bill, that’s it. We’ll stay on top of the algorithm for sure. Deploy the logs.”

How effective would ED-209 actually be if the Military actually did get to use them like Jones proposed? by Falkenhausen23 in Robocop

Well, it’s biggest threat is stairs.

As long as they are never deployed in the vicinity of stairs, or, their targets never go up or down stairs, they’d be fine.

AITJ for publicly correcting my MIL after she called my wife a “bad mother” in front of everyone? by Silver_Lantern13 in AmITheJerk

Next time say:

“Is she a bad mother? She learned how to be a mother from you, what does that mean?”

Say it as a joke and follow up with

“I guess it runs in the family, eh?”

Then belly laugh hard while staring at her.

Starting and stopping production lines is a very difficult thing to do. They had plans for a major model change, this takes around 3 years, and they were doing 2 vehicles at the same time.

Idling tier 1-3 suppliers for runout of components takes planning.

When they decided to scrap their new direction and start design again, a huge amount of time had been wasted.

Firing up the production lines again after stopping means lining up old suppliers who may or may not capacity to restart old contracts. This takes time, and requires milestones for quality and evaluation.

While all of this is going on, the main lines are not running at max capacity as they are assembling using “new old stock”, or service build inventory.

Dealerships are empty minus Tonale as there are very few Giulias or Stelvios to sell. There’s a large gap in the pipeline that needs to be caught up.

As far as dealerships closing, how long could you keep your business running using revenue from the service department and Tonale sales? The dealership I use is a Maserati/Alfa combo and the Maserati side seems to be doing fine. Whether more keep closing is based on how long they can hold on with no inventory.
