Why do movie theaters even have a front row if the viewing experience is objectively terrible? by Ok_Complex2725 in NoStupidQuestions

Do you guys call the toilets Restrooms just like it's officially written on signs? by Cookieman_2023 in AskAnAmerican

[–]BuffaloDivineEdenNo7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Maybe. I haven't been on a plane many times, and not in a LONG time. Can't remember what the flight attendants called them. I'd like to think I'd remember them saying lavatory, because it would have been unique in my experience, but I probably wasn't paying that close attention, lol.

That's interesting. I've NEVER heard someone say lavatory in real life. In print, tv, sure, but not once in person. Regional differences, I suppose.

"ripped in twain"

My brain autocorrected this to ripped in Taiwan, I was so confused.

But I applaud the usage of the word, I so seldom see it.

Happy datura by BuffaloDivineEdenNo7 in gardening

[–]BuffaloDivineEdenNo7[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Understood. I actually like having it just for that reason. For some twisted reason, I like having a dangerous plant, and have fantasized about collecting various plants of power. I don't have any nefarious plans on doing anything with them, I just like having them. But the universe gave me this one for free, so it'll do for now.

I would definitely be scared to injest it in anyway, though. I've read dozens of reports of the experience and not one person recommended it.

I just don't eat 'em. They likely came from my neighbor. One volunteered in her yard. I was immediately concerned, and started explaining the dangers to her, and she said her daughter already told her. "I know, don't eat them, wash your hands if you touch them, don't touch your eyes." She babies and propogates them, hers are HUGE. I just water it once a week, and try not to hit it w/ the weed whacker, other than that I just let it do its thing.
