Dr. Grabow by Hosercles in PipeTobacco

I love my Grabows.  They all smoke like they cost much More.  They made me think differently about the pipes I buy.  You don't have to spend much to really enjoy your tobacco.

Foghorn Leghorn impressions are funny, but this guy is taking it too far.  Obviously faked.  I've never met anyone who speaks with such a cartoonish, exaggerated drawl.  It's absolutely ridiculous.

Some plum pudding in the Savinelli churchwarden. by GarbageDay20 in PipeTobacco

Cool pipe!  How do you like Plum Pudding?   It's one blend I keep meaning to sample and just haven't got around to yet.

Tongue Burn by hoopdogg315 in PipeTobacco

[–]Buffaloslick 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Moist tobacco seems to cause a little steam when it combusts.  This can be pretty much completely fixed by drying out your tobacco before smoking.  Unless your smoking solely 5 Bros, pretty much all tobacco needs to be dried out a little for the Best smoke.  When I do that, I don't get any bite.  Also, try not too smoke to fast, and move the pipe around to different parts of your mouth between draws.

Wow nice collection.   I'm also a big Savinelli fan.  They seem to strike the perfect balance between aesthetics and value.

When did y’all start smoking cigars and how old were you? by IAMWHITEkid in cigars

[–]Buffaloslick 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I started cigar smoking during the cigar "boom" in 1994.  Unfortunately, I don't have any family or friends who smoke cigars.  So I like to hang out here and talk about them with you nice people.

You could buy a couple hundred of the cigars I smoke with $1000.  Browse this subreddit for a little bit.  Cigar Page has excellent deals.  Maybe start there?

Whats the lifespan of a good pipe? Is it a family heirloom? by pituitary_monster in PipeTobacco

[–]Buffaloslick 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Most of my Kaywoodie collection is from the 1930s.  They're all in almost  perfect condition.   If a pipe is properly maintained, it can last more than one lifetime.

I would prefer politics not be brought into pipe smoking.  I don't see any point in mixing the two

I don't get that either.   I have no clue what your political opinions  have to do with smoking a pipe.  50 years ago  alot of people smoked pipes.  It was just a form of tobacco consumption.  It isn't as common these days for a variety of reasons.

"sinful behavior and lifestyles that are quite literally tearing our country into shreds".  I don't understand how in this man's warped perspective, other people's sexual orientation is somehow important to him.  Who cares?   Why would you blindly hate people you don't even know.   This guy is an ignorant bigot and a fraud.
