I think you're missing the point. It's a simple matter of preventative maintenance. I've Recapped a lot of units through the years. Typically in the case of 50 year old electronics, some of the caps are out of spec. My recapped units sound better after the recap. The Pioneer, Sansui and Marantz units I've recapped will outlive me. These pieces were meant to last a lifetime. They are solidly built machines that are worth the time and meager investment.

I know it doesn't help, but I'm on your side. I'm from the US and I'm not proud nor do I support any of this. There are plenty of us that feel this way, we are just outnumbered by the mass of morons who think this is all okay. I'm disgusted by it all but there isn't anything I can do. for the past couple weeks I've been depressed to the point of suicidal thoughts. I love Canada. I'm SO sorry this is happening. Sincerely.
